Well, If you have been watching Grey's then you know that Alex is from a really troubled background and his defense mechanism is not letting any one get too close. That is why he brushed Addy off. It is also why he almost did the same thing to Eva and why he did it to Izzie.

Is it me, or is geroge getting cutter by the episode? Izzie's new curly hairstyle looks great on her, I can't believe she went to Burke for advice and comfort....

actually izzie and burke have bonded in the past more than once. there was the thanksgiving epi when the two of them spent the whole day together cooking then there was the discussion they had after denny died and burke got shot where he kind of kicked her butt in gear to get back to being a surgeon -- remember the "you have two good hands" talk? so for her to go to him with a big confession is not so totally out of line.

Hi all! I am relatively new, but I love reading all of your posts. Rose-I also noticed in the preview that was Thatcher who apparently slapped Meredith. Was that not the most disturbing, angered look on his face? That image was seared in my mind last night!!! I must admit that before this season, I didn't really care for Burke or Christina, but now they have got to be my favorite couple on this show. I love how they compliment each other's personalities. I don't have a lot of insight into the episode, I just know that I loved it, and I felt so sorry for Addison when she walked out of the hospital and turned around and looked back at it, then just walked off. I didn't used to like her either, but now I really feel sorry for her. Again, thanks for having such a welcoming message board! It's great to talk to people who are as obsessed with this show as I am! :o)

I thought Alex was changing... but i was wrong... he will be always the same :( and... the preview from next episode OMG... thatcher slapped mer, i think is her fault because she was crying, but idn, maybe she is so sensitive because her problems with derek... the spin off... i love addison, but i don't seem how could it works, the pics look somehow boring...

Hi everyone I am kinda new. Well not really but I finally just found my password again. I was hurting for Mer at the end of the episode. She knows she didn't swim, that she gave up for a minute, and I think it hit hard for her to realize, that Derrick knew she didn't swim. I have to agree it needed to be said, that maybe it will help them heal. AND I can't believe in the preview that thatcher SMACKS Mer! I agree jujube I had to rewind just to make sure I saw that correctly! (just love my DVR) And I just loved BANG in the episode, truly Burke got to me..
