     That's true it's never just been "I love you"...it's not a popular thing on the show and for as many relationships that have occured its weird...

     Alex said it to Izzie in All by Myself

     Callie said it to George in Time has come today

     They better tell each other when he proposes!!!

     If they don't... thats just messed up.

     I've watched the Derek is a Jackass scene like 10 times to see if it gets any better. It doesn't. You can tell by they way he's acting that he feels bad. Two of the times he looked at Mer you could tell that he was sorry. He could barely look at her. He kept looking away.

     It was like he wanted to take it back as soon as he said it, but I honestly think that he is trying to 'protect' her in his own insane way...he doesn't want her to him 'dark and twisty' because I think he thinks that Mer loves him for being the top surgeon 'God-like' being that he is, but she doesn't she loves him no matter what and that showed last night!!

     Exactly. If only either would just say "I love you"! They both need to hear it sometimes.

     After watchin the scene again, did anyone notice that when Mer said she knew about the ring - that part hurt derek the most. He had this look of devestation on his face that she new he was planning to propose, like the surprise has gone. He may have been so angry, but that really hit him.

     Yes, I thought the same too.

     I think that hurt him the most because his suprise was ruined and he did not know if she was with him because she loves him or pitty.

     I want them together!

     I so can't wait til next week, the hours won't go quick enough, although I get two grey's days cose we get it thursday nights in Australia!

     Even though he was trying to push her away, it would have sent him more over the edge if she was like fine i'm leaving. He just needs to aplogise and propose - then life can go on
