Kathy, I think you make a valid point on the journey quote. While I believe both Mer and Der are responsible for where their relationship is currently at, Mer made a good point in this episode about enjoying all the steps in between becoming a couple and having a house and babies etc... I agree, that Derek is in such a hurry to get to the end of the road that he's not allowing himself to enjoy everything in between. That being said, Derek is older than Mer. He's an attending and has been doing this for a while and is probably at a different lifestage than Mer. Remember when Mark was talking to Derek earlier on in the season saying "Meredith is still an intern".... Who knows what will happen. I like this Caillie/Dr. Hahn friendship and their teasing of Mark...it's fun to watch. I hope we now get to explore Alex's dark side. We've caught glimpses in the past but it would be nice if we could explore that and hopefully see him grow a little as well. I wouldn't mind seeing one of our characters have a relationship outside of the hospital. Most people aren't married to or in a relationship with a person at work. It would be nice to not see our characters only sleeping with hospital staff. At least that's how I feel today. Tomorrow is an entirely different proposition.Posted 1/15/2008 1:00:00 AM #

I have to say that I have been just as excited watching this season as I was watching season 2! I feel like this season has been mirroring that season, with just the right amount of humor and drama. Plus, in that season we got, "pick me, choose me, love me," in this season we got Derek saying, "I want to marry you." In each season, so far, it has not worked out in them being together. Slowly, we are getting them closer to being in the same place emotionally and that is great! I have no problems with this season, I am loving it. Shonda has made some mistakes, all writers do, but I trust, overall, where the characters are going. Have hope!Posted 1/15/2008 1:00:00 AM #

No reason to be angry with him. He has been honest with Mer, he told her someone else may come along. He was willing to give up that opportunity to stay with Mer and move forward. Mer wants to stay where they are because she is not ready to trust any man like that yet. Derek is guarding his heart now. I cannot fault him for that. Yes, seriously...if there is a side to choose between Derek and Meredith, I am definitely on Derek's side. Meredith has way to many issues for one person. My god can't she just get over heself, start trusting people, and let Derek love her? I don't understand why letting Derek love her is so hard. She just needs to grow up and learn that life sucks sometimes, but not everything has to suck all the time. I feel like she is setting up this pain for herself. I just saw Patrick tonight on the Speed Channel. Gosh, he looked great! He was at a Car Auction in Arizona and he auctioned off one of the cars he raced in last season. Included was one of his racing suits, a signed helmet, 3rd dvd set of GA and racing lessons from him. Wouldn’t I have loved to have been the winner of that package. I think it sold for $200,000.00. His hair looked alittle longer than I had seen lately from pics around LA. In other words he was looking HOT! Naturally looking stylish with a grey sweater and scarf tied around his neck. He drove the car on stage and then came to the podium and greeted the crowd with his beautiful smile and told the crowd what was included with the car. After the winning bid he left the stage to shake hands and sign autographs. What a guy! Oh yeah, it sounds like there is a chance the writers may be meeting next week since the directors came to a deal this week. That certainly sounds encouraging! Even Patrick mentioned when asked about the writers stike ( at the Car Auction today) that he heard they may be meeting next week! Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope its resolved asap! Yeah it will be really awesome if der/rose r/ship is played out this season. But Shonda and team do have one hell of a perfect reconciliation to write for those two. I will love to see how things will work out.Posted 1/20/2008 1:00:00 AM #
