    Yeah its like Der will be her family and friend, which will allow her to change and adapt to all the changes she has been through recently. They didn't have to "break up" they just needed a step back. Der isn't going anywhere and Mer doesn't want him to go anywhere. They are still getting to know each other and hopefully thats what we get to see this season..them getting to know each other. You can love someone all you want but it doesn't mean you really know them

    Good point PINK about not knowing that much about Alex, I want to know more but they never seem to get around to telling us what's up. I've heard Shonda say he is the male version of Meredith, but why? Why is he so dark and twisty?

    Well, we know he grew up in a bar and had a drug addict, musician for a father. Sounds like a horrible way to grow up. Seems like he was never payed attention too or really loved.

    Yeah, doesn't sound like he had a healthy childhood by any means. I wish he had someone, a guy friend, a brother, a mentor, someone to connect with. Izzie just doesn't cut because she is a spaz and I'm not sure Rebecca will be enough (nor is she likely to become a series regular). I love the love between MERDER but Alex has always been my favorite character.

    I think they're setting it up for a potential Alex/Lexie coupling because Alex has commented on hot Lexie is in both episodes so far...who knows when it will happen though. I love that you're back Pink Mist. I agree, sometimes we need to step back and take a break, get a new perspective whatever you want to call it, but it can be so hard because we're all so passionate about this show. Wow, I'm getting so excited for Thursday. Oh and Thanks for the Happy Thanksgiving wishes everyone. I know in the US you don't celebrate until November ... I wonder how that came to be? Anyway, I better get back to work.

    Yes!! Season 4 is looking pretty good for mer/der. I'm not so sure it is going to be that great for George and Izzie. I think they still have a lot of stuff they need to work out. Hence the comment "there is no we".
