Seriously!!!???? Another new love interest for Der. Season 4 has got to be better than this. Last night's epi. was okay but not near what I was hoping to see. I was glad that Mer did not get a drink with Mark. She is growing, but maybe not quick enough. I hope Der can hang in there. I did like Christina trying to trade her wedding gifts in for surgerys. I love that Baily is starting to get back to her old self. Yes Matt, Mamma Burke is Yoda. I am going to stay positive! Next week will be better.Posted 10/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #

there is a quote i'm trying to track down. when Mark walks in to find Derek sitting there looking glum and asks him for a drink, Derek says "I have a problem." How does the rest of that conversation go?Posted 10/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I am still not worried, I see too much growth last night, as I said in my review. Derek is growing, he see the problem, but I think that he sees that Meredith could grow. Meredith sees her issues and wants to be different. I am pretty sure that is why Lexie is there. She is going to help repair Meredith and Thatcher's relationship, which will enable Meredith to love better. Last year was about mommy issues, this year is about daddy issues. I think that the new woman could be Derek's sister that is the shrink. I think that she could help both Derek and Meredith; plus she would be a attending that is new and we have not had one in that service before. Do not panic! This season has a lot in common with season 1 and I see it really becoming awesome! Plus there was some really funny stuff last night! Hang on, it is going to be a great year!Posted 10/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I think that everyone could use this review again! Well Grey’s is back in a big way! I have this feeling like we are repeating season one a bit. Derek is putting drops in his eyes after a long night of sex and everything is wide open with possibility. I have to start by talking about Meredith, Derek and their relationship. They both admit big things tonight. Derek realizes that he deserves something better, but also loves Meredith too much to abandon her. Meredith admits that she has daddy issues and cannot seem to let the world’s most perfect man in. Now I know that some people might see this as something that cannot work, but I see the growth. I think that Derek is willing to stick it out and wait for Meredith to change. He will be with her in the way that she can handle. I think that he is thinking, “Why not be with her as she grows, so we grow together.” Both of these people need each other because they love each other too much to let each other go. So, no matter what it takes, no matter the pain, they will stay together. And as they stay together, they may just be able to help each other heal. It is like season one, and they have the chance to make it this time. Lexie, tonight realizes that the father she has was not the same man for Meredith, and that the dad that she has now, after her mom’s death, is not the dad that she remembers. Lexie is going to have her own hard time and she may even need Meredith’s help to get through it. It will be though that pain that they can begin to heal each other and Meredith can begin to patch things up with her dad. I am really glad that, that seems to be something that they are going to work on, since that is one of the things that Meredith really needs. George and Izzie, are not over, but it is going to be a lot harder than either of them thought. It was good to see George want to do the right thing and tell Callie. It seems like it will all hit the fan next week. Mark was good tonight, I really like that he is the guy that seems to be there for people these days. Bailey was hilarious! Loved that she yelled at Alex and is using her gifts wherever she can. It was also great to see Alex respond like that to that patient; since his dad was an addict, he must have really been feeling like he was that kid. Love to see the way the patients have an affect on the residents. Cristina is going to be ok. As mama said, she is strong. It was great to see her with the patient at the end and see how much she has grown. She will be a great surgeon! Mama is Yoda. She understands all of those people and what they needed to hear. It was really good to see her put Meredith in her place and help George see who he is. I really loved what she said to Cristina; she cared for Cristina and really wanted to see the best for her. I think that she is right about Cristina and that see will be ok. I think that with Derek she was partly right. I think that Derek knows that Meredith is capable of becoming a more healthy person, if she is given time. Her issues are not like Cristina’s. Cristina cannot change who she is, fundamentally, but Meredith can heal the wounds that her father inflicted on her. Last season was about healing the mommy issues; this season is about daddy issues. So let the healing begin Shonda! This episode was really funny too! Reminded me of the blast that was season one! Keep it up!Posted 10/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #

"The Heart of the Matter" Oct 18. Spoiler - The Chief's wife, Adele, rushes their niece to Seattle Grace, the hospital where she once had her prom, Izzie reveals her feelings for George to a mutual friend, and the reaction is not what she expects, Derek teaches Cristina how to be a better teaching resident, and the world's oldest living intern, Norman, misdiagnoses one of Meredith's patients. Guest Cast: Edward Herrmann as Norman, Michael McGrady as Stanley, Matt Lanter as Adam, Maggie Siff as Ruthie, Miriam Flynn as Ms. Bitzer, Camille Winbush as Camille, Ron Melendez as Will, with Loretta Devine as Adele. Looks like this could be really good and interesting. Derek working with Cristina is something that could really help Der/Mer. If Cristina can like Derek more, she could help encourage Meredith to accept him. She could help Meredith become more healthy by helping her open up to Derek. I cannot wait to see who Izzie tells. Sounds like it is going to go very badly. That story line has me confounded; I am really not sure where they are trying to go there. It really seems like Callie and George will not make it, but if Izzie and George will not make it either, why ruin their friendship? Have they both not lost enough people? It just does not make sense for them to not work out after all of this. Anyway, what do you all think?Posted 10/6/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Honestly Matt, I have stopped trying to figure out Shonda and the way her brain works. Not too many things actually go the way we would like them to in this show. So if I were you, I'd be prepared for the worst as far as Izzie/George are concerned. As far as who it is that Izzie tells; if it's a mutual friend, it's got to be Meredith. I don't see Izzie confiding in Cristina, and I don't think you'd say that George and Alex are friends. Meredith has been down that road with George, so maybe that's why she gives Izzie a negative reaction.Posted 10/6/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I think George and Izzy have a special friendship but they have both let it slip into something more which is not right for either of them. George married Callie sort of for his Dad and also because he was using Callie to get over Meredith. George is probably still getting over Meredith and Izzy over Denny and that is part of the reson they couldn't see the big mistake they made when they were totally drunk. They want to be loved and in-love and Izzy has a track record since 16 years of rushing into relationships too fast.If she tells Alex he will be really dissapointed in her and she wont like to hear what he would say about it. Eventually George and Izzy will go back to being just friends but I don't think Callie is right for George either. She did take advantage of him at a vulnerable time after all. Hey, I am glad the chief might realize he meddles in peoples lives and doesn't always know what's best for them. Shonda seemed to indicate he would become aware of this flaw.Posted 10/6/2007 1:00:00 AM #
