- From the podcast and blog the idea was that sex happened between mer/der. I do not think that George and Izzie are going to sleep again, until Callie is out of the way. They are both not the kind of people to have an ongoing affair. - Wow, the writers blog was as good as the episode this week! Oh how I loved MerDer this time! Derek is still so gallantly trying to be Meredith's knight in shining armour. But it seems he is suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome, and that he is the one in need of rescuing now. I loved those last bedroom scenes--what nice little chunks of MerDer & Burktina reward!!! George & Izzie would be adorable together if George were not married. Best friends or not, he made a commitment to Callie and he needs to stand by it. Even though I don't like them together, especially Callie throwing her husband out over a fight. But still they are newlyweds, and his marriage is what George needs to work on...there is nothing romantic about betrayal.
