Great episode.
Loved the MerDer moment! And I love Meredith and Alex's friendship. The end had me in tears with the cheif, with all the flashbacks. That was just kinda shocking to me. He's really just falling apart. I thought everything with Bailey and Adele was funny and cute.

Bah. I hate to say this, but the Mercy West guys are really growing on me. I even like Reed now.
Anyways, this was a good episode. Probably my least favorite. I'm still shocked that Season 6 has been this great. I enjoyed seeing Izzie again, but really, she needs to either stay or go. She's acting stupid and it's getting annoying. I'm definitely going to like Dr. Altman, a lot more than I liked Burke or Hahn or Dixon.
Really don't have a lot of thoughts for this episode, considering how it was so plain. I feel so incredibly sorry for Richard though. He's under so much pressure. At the end, his glass still had alcohol in it, correct?

what exactly did the end mean with Richard? does it mean that he has so much pressure on him that he's becoming an alcoholic again?

I was surprised to hear the song End of all time playing when Alex was talking to Izzie seeing as i was thinking to myself that song should be on Grey's so happy it was i loved how Bailey was defending the chief seeing as she's usually quiet and keeps to herself happy to know he isn't having a affair feel bad for Meredith since she got her surgeries stolen by the Mercy Westers and hasn't had anytime in the OR happy to see Joe's since the bar wasn't shown in any of the previous episodes and we haven't seen it in a while i loved the whole eposide :) Can't wait until the next one super excited!

I thought Richard put down the glass, because he knew what the alcohol would do to him, and didn't want to be an alcoholic.

I think that Richard is becoming an alcoholic again, yes. At least that is what I got from it. And all of the flashbacks were either reasons/causes of stress that he is starting to drink again or they were instances where he was drunk and is looking back to see what all he has caused .. not sure.
Good episode, not one of the greatest.
Agree that Izzie needs to stay or go. I love her and her character but she is toying with everyones emotions, especially Alex, and the viewers so I wish they would pick one and go with it.

what happened at the very end with richard? i saw up until he makes eye contact with mer and then i had to turn it off.please someone tell me, im dying to know!
