New History

this episode was definitly not one of my favorites, it was just ok to me. I think it does explain a lot about the chief it definitly makes sense about the car accident, botching the surgery etc. Izzy is bugging the hell out of me. I really wish that she would just stay or go away completely. But given the fact that she is in and out of like 5 episodes this season i guess we just have to get used to this. Im not sure how i feel about teddy and owen just yet. Im not huge on kristina and owen so it wouldnt bother me if they did break up and kristina got together with whats-his-name. the merder moments where cute (i love happy meredith). I feel sooo bad for alex. I feel like izzy owes it to him to let him explain but at the same time, why didnt he bring up her medical bills? i cant wait till next week to see about mark's daughter...

I think we are getting to know a totaly other side of izzie here. she is not always sweet and caring...
... and mer is not always dark and twisty
... and christina is not always hectic and bitchy

@Leonie1988 I agree with your assessment of characters...

The only thing I liked about this episode was the scene at the end, with te chief's flashbacks. How every single negative sucess of this season leads to him, and to his afully bad desicions. Specialy the merger.
Well, in fact I belive the writer's idea of the merger wasn't that good. Too many new characters and some of the old ones, which mostly we love, lost a bit of participation in some chapters.

I agree with alot you said! But I also think, that they just brought all these new characters to overshadow the missing lead (mer) and izzie...

@ImissGeorge: haha, maybe that only goes to say that to Alex, it's secondary. Izzie is more important than the medical bills...fixing their relationship is more important at that point. Which is precisely the reason the sympathy is on him. That's love at its finest. (Eeek) If he brought up the bills, that wouldn't sound too good either... Iz might reply, you were one of the reasons I got fired then you'd talk to me about the bills. hehe. They will have to face that problem together - they're husband and wife. But yeah, I understand, that issue should be addressed to in the long run, but maybe the bills issue might steal the drama too soon.
Leonie: Yup, it showed us different possible angles...sides. hehe. Izzie wasn't all sweet and nice, Alex's softer, vulnerable side. :) nice point!
