i don't think they're gonna change george's face. it's been told that monaghan guy won't be playing @ GA, if not him, then who's gonna replace george?

If T.R. wants out, they could send him to recovery somewhere (which would be weird, because you already have the best staff at SGH...). I can't really see him recover and go back to where he were... His face is seriously burned... He probably suffered a lot of injuries which could stop him from practicing medicine... But, on the other hand, there's this Amanda girl, which could be his first normal relationship since ages. If they keep George alive and well this could give him a really interesting storyline which he obviously lacked in season 5. And it would be the first relationship a character has outside the hospital (apart from Finn, but he doesn't count - it wasn't a relationship, it was a rebound).
It just all seems weird to me... the future season of Grey's will be downright depressing if someone dies! It will all be about mourning. They've already had enough deaths and tragedies in their lives (Denny, Ellis, Susan Grey) and crappy things happened to them. It will be even unrealistic to see another bad thing happening in their lives. No one will be able to move on. If either of them dies half of the characters on the show will be devastated and seriously broken.
I am 100% sure they won't let both of them die! That wouldn't make sense to continue GA at all. The only thing remaining characters would be left to do is occupy dr Wyatt's office. That would SUCK.
I hope they both stay alive. And I don't think one of them has to die! If someone has to go, Izzie would survive, and George can put his residency on hold and go somewhere to recover. He wouldn't be on the show, but he would still be alive.

they won't send him away only because of a recovery. they have the most respected surgeon in SGH.

105 days left to go before Season 6 premieres! That's 15 weeks. We have already made it 4 weeks since the finale (it somehow seems longer than 4 weeks though!).
I am beginning to think that maybe George and Izzie will both pull through. Wishful thinking, I Know, but I have been watching the old episodes, up to 2/3 through season 3 now, and there are points where I look at George and Izzie and cannot imagine a Grey's without them. Like Izzie , telling Mer there was no judgement because hse ate everything in the fridge, including the tub of butter, or when she was a "rockstar" drilling into the guy's head with his friend's drill to save his life and then poor Alex and everyone else would be broken. Izzie was the one who kept saying she believed that they would all be ok when Mer was still not back to life after drowning. And George just being George all the time. Plus he did heart surgery in an elevator! He's a good friend to everyone and his family already lost his father, now he is supposed to be looking out for his mom and brothers, how is that going to effect not only his fellow residents, but his family as well.
So, I have decided that neither of them can die. It will be too awful for all of the others, like Blizz said, they would have to all congregate in Dr. Wyatt's office for the whole of season 6! And as for us, we would be sad to lose our beloved George and/or Izzie.

MMmcD (I gave you a nickname) - I was thinking the same things, especially about how Izzie is always the positive one, and how George is such a friend to everyone. Even though I am a Grey's fanatic I just don't think it would be much of a show without them. And you are especially right about all of them needing Dr. Wyatt because they would ALL be totally messed up if they both died. Oh, I get so upset just thinking about it.

Especially my beloved Meredith...she's all happy and normal now and to have her get messed up mentally again...I think I will need a Dr. Wyatt.

I thought about that as well, but I think his mom lives in Seattle... When he wanted Meredith to let him and Izzie move in in S1 he was still living with her. So she probably lives nearby (But she didn't know about him and Callie breaking up when she came by in S4 so it's weird they don't see each other living in the same city...). If it was Cristina, f.e., it would be easy to send her back to California. But even if George lives with his mom it still would be weird why he's not on the show.
I know Mark Sloan is the best, but still, after the surgery, George would be needing recovery time, which would probably be really long, considering his injuries. He may also want to leave Seattle to change environment and get better. I don't know...
All I know, is Izzie AND George have to surivive!!!
