Ok, I have to add couple of epis I forgot at first.
"A Hard Day's Night", the epi that started all this, then "Who's Zooming Who" (S1 finale, I loved Bailey and Izzie&Cristina, when they performed the unauthorized autopsy), and (I don't understand how I forgot this one) 3-part season 2 finale, the scene when Mer and Cristina enter the room when Izzie cut the L-vad wire, the narration (from all the characters) and then when Denny died, those are classic signature Grey's scenes.
Hmm, hard question. I'm clueless for what is going to happen is season 6, like Shonda pointed out it is a transitional season, I would hate if someone follows T.R.'s footsteps (although he left basically because he was pushed to do so, with such treatment I would leave too). I would like to see Mer pregnant by the end of the season, so that it can leave open the possibility of seeing Daddy Der in action in season 7, I'd love to see that. And for some reason I would really like to see Addison comes back, but I know she won't, at least not permanently. I think maybe Shonda is going other way with the pregnancy thing, maybe Alex and Izzie get a baby (I mean, if not, what was the point of "snooching into the cup"). I don't know, just some guesses (or better said, my hopes). All I want is for Mer and Der to be happy, if Shonda tears them apart AGAIN, I'll probable have a nerves breakdown. But, I think she won't.
And, given the facts provided, I think first couple of episodes will contain grieving about George, I'd like to see all the main characters have a flashback about their interaction with George (I know T.R. won't be there to film, but they can put scenes that we already saw, memorable George scenes), I'd love to see that. He was such an important link in the chain of characters, and he deserves to be decently remembered. I swear, if she puts it in one epi, and then everybody is happy and everybody forgets him, she will have ONE REALLY PISSED OFF FAN (and I'm sure I won't be the only one).
Ok, I can go forever with this, so I'll stop. What's your opinion about season 6?

Oh yeah! I totally agree, about the Season 1 and 2 finales.
Ok so here are my thoughts:
1) Since it's going to continue where it left off, I predict Izzie will live and her flatline will go up and she will end up in a coma for a while, but at the same time, George flatlines creating a devastating and tear-jerking scene. (I think dead George is perhaps played by another actor.) Izzie will wake up to find her best friend is dead. Maybe she's the doctor whose reaction is taken for granted, (oh my god, I think I figured it out!) Oh yeah, she was experiencing short term memory, she knew he was joining the army, and she was the one who knew the littlest about the George/Army/John Doe thing. Or it's Mer. We'll see.
2) We know Dr. Wyatt is returning, so maybe the episode might take a humorous, yet Grey's turn having all the doctors in line for Wyatt's office. I don't know, like the siph line in Season 1. And as each character enters her office, they remember George and begin with "brand new eyes". I doubt they would do this though.
3) Larry Jennings returns maybe having something to do with Chief, or there to commemarate George. Or maybe it's the DNR thing, because they broke a rule reviving Izzie and he suspends Chief making Larry temporary Chief. I don't know, just a guess.
I agree, George should have the limelight. I mean if they have a George scene, then just cut to a Mark and Lexie scene, I WILL BE PISSED! Or if everyone continues happily like nothing happened. It'll be so depressing to see George's lifeline go flat.
My favorite scene with George is the scene where Meredith and George are in the elevator and Meredith is "channeling" Izzie and George is being Christina. It always cracks me up! Best George and Meredith scene.
Hey! 2 months exactly til the Premiere. Whoo!

You are so right, 14Grey's, that George/Mer scene is hilarious. "McDreamy was doing McNasty with McHottie? That McBastard!", I adore George. I also liked his scene when Lexie took the files from Chief's office and he was like "Alexandra Caroline Grey, what did you do?". And although he had so "many" scenes this season, he did them great (the scene with Izzie, when she is taking tests, and his "Hello" line when Cristina says Izzie is the new O'Malley, and his scenes with Izzie, I missed their friendship so much).
T.R.Knight is an amazing actor and I wish him good luck in his future projects.
About the idea of everyone waiting in line to see Dr. Wyatt, it crossed my mind, and it's a great idea, but I seriosly doubt Shonda would do something so nice and bright (in some way, remembering George at his best would be kind of bright), it's just not her concept.
Interesting, I never thought Larry would come because The Chief broke the DNR request, I hope he doesn't get suspended (just temporarily, of course). He can't, no one is better for his position then himself.
I would really like to know what is "the lovely story that is going to introduce us to Ellen's pregnancy"....
Well, I guess, all we can do is check this wonderful site couple of times a day, try to arrange the pieces we have into the right position, and wait.
Oh, and for me (I'm not from USA, so I watch Friday's) today is exactly 2 months till new episode of the best show ever, GREY'S ANATOMY.

Yeah George scenes are the best, he has this interesting sense of humor that I just love. I hate when people nag about Shonda, I mean, who do you think made us fall in love with George and Izzie? And who do you think made us cry about losing our George? Shonda, Shonda.
For some reason "lovely" doesn't sound lovely. I don't know maybe it's Mer and Der's honeymoon. Or Meredith is in mourning and lies in bed, kind of like Izzie and the bathroom floor, or like in "It's the End of the World" where she wanted to stay in bed. Maybe something like that.
Yeah this site is great, but there's also greysanatomynews.com. They keep up with each other but it's a different layout and stuff.
Oh you don't live in the US? What country? I love how Grey's can be seen all around the world. That's so cool.

I'm from Serbia (but I seriosly doubt you know where is it, I'll just say Europe). Oh, and thank God for the Internet, cause I don't know what I would be doing withouth Grey's. :)
I'll check greysanatomynews.com, all Grey's sites are good are good sites for me, there is one with all the newest spoilers, that's how I found out first that George is definitely dead.
Ok, I know this is also off topic, but I'd like to know your top 5 Grey's characters, I love seeing other people opinions. Mine are:

Okay mine are:
1) Meredith Grey2) George O'malleyMer and George are my favorite because I can relate to them most.3) Izzie! (She's just...Izzie, which I love.)4) Christina (She is pretty hardcore.)5) Bailey (She rocks.)
Of course I love all the other characters, that's what makes it a good show in the first place. But my favorite are always going to be the original ones that made the show what it is today. The saddest thing for me was to see these characters grow up, I didn't want them to, but I know they had to. You know what I mean? I think I'll just die when the series finale comes around. I do not want to think about that!
I think next summer I'm going to New York for vacation, so who knows I might see T.R. there since he's doing broadway! I would love that SO much. Who would you want to meet of the FANTASTIC Grey's Anatomy cast?

I also love all the characters, these are my favorites, but like you said, it's a mix of people who make this show running (and being so succesful, of course).
I think I would like to meet Patrick Dempsey (I mean, damnit, he is afterall McDreamy), Sandra Oh (she is amazing actress, and I would say she is really nice person too), then T.R.Knight (he is just great, polite, he is all the good stuff). I would also like to meet Ellen Pompeo (she also seems like a good person, and I adore her character). It would be awesome to meet Justin Chambers (he seems to be a really cool guy) and Chandra Wilson (she is lovely, and she a great actress).
There, my "I'd like to meet" persons. Oh, and I'd like to meet Shonda Rhimes, to sit and talk with her for a while, and we talk and talk, and she has to go to the toilet, and I, while she is gone, search for script, and read everything that is about to happen. :) But, seriosly, I'd like to meat a person who made such an amazing TV show and made us fall in love with it.
It seems we are the only one writing in this topic. So, what are your favorite relationships (5 couples and 5 friendships)?

I think I'd like to meet T.R. and Ellen the most. That would just make my life. I don't know if I'd like to meet Shonda, she seems really intimidating.
Oh and if you would like to somewhat of a spoiler go to the spoiler section and read my topic. It's about George and how she (Shonda) wanted him to come back for one more episode to bring closure with George. Whoops, I gave it away. Sorry.
Let's see relationship wise, I'd say:
1)Meredith and Derek (MerDer)- I think my favorite moments with these two take place in the elevator, even without words you can tell what they are thinking and feeling about each other. I like that.
2)George and Izzie (Gizzie)- First of all I did not like this match. I mean they are best friends, but I guess you can't help who you fall in love with. I get that and I know how it feels.
3)Richard and Ellis- I always enjoyed watching storylines involving Ellis and the Chief and Meredith's past. I thought they were interesting.
4)Owen and Christina (Owentina)- At first I hated Owen, like Derek and Mark did. But I think him and Christina were on the same page love wise. So it drew them together.
5)Callie and George (O'calley)- I really loved George and Callie together. They were a match made in heaven, however, I knew that it wouldn't last with them. I couldn't see them together still in Grey's future. But it was fun while it lasted.
Friendships
1)Meredith and Christina (My favorite, I also love the dancing episode it's so funny.)
2)George and Izzie (This friendship is the one I could relate to most and I always love George and Izzie scenes.
3)Mark and Derek (I also enjoyed this friendship because I have a friend EXACTLY like Mark, it's so weird.
4)The interns all together which are now Residents- I think they all tried to seem tough and strong but when they needed each other they were all there for each other, that's an ideal friendship.
5)Addison and Mark- They may not have been "friends" exactly, but I enjoyed the time that they were on screen together.

Ok, here it goes. Though, first I should respond about those T.R.Knight news. I knew that Shonda wanted him to stay for couple of epis (I think it wan't just 1), so that made me think that she didn't really want to kill the character, but since he didn't agree with that, I guess she now has no choice but to kill him, when she brought the storyline to this level. I think that's what she meant by saying "I would do the best for the show" (not killing him, trying to work things up at least for a 2-3 more epis), because I read somewhere that KH said how "she knew for a year that T.R. is leaving, and she knew for a year that she is staying" and she tried to "talk him out of it, but it wasn't a possibility".
Well, now on the relationships.
First, couples:
Because of my nickname, I think you can guess which is my favorite couple...
1. Meredith&Derek (MerDer)-a beautiful, dreamy couple, I like how Derek completely understands her, he knows exactly what she needs (for example, when he got Cristina for her, after William's execution), and she showed that she knows how to be there for him ("I Will Fololow You Into The Dark"). And I especially like the look he gives here, and how she goes crazy (positively crazy, of course) when he looks at her that way (McDreamy way :). Oh, and I adore when he smells her hair...
2. Alex&Izzie-for me, I think it's great how Alex changes when he's with her. Like in season 2, he was nice only around her... But now, his character has grown so much, I loved how he and Mer made the wedding Alex and Izzie's, and his vows... They were beautiful, you can tell when he recited them how much he loves her and cares about her (even when he yells at her to make the right decision, it just shows how hard it is on him because of her condition).
3. Cristina&Owen-What I love about this couple is they're slow dynamic. I mean, they slept together after 19 epis, which is SO MUCH different than all the other couples, and it's beautiful in my opinion (that they waited). And they also seem to really understand each other, they are equally in the relationship, and that really suits for both of them. He is such a match for hardcore Cristina.
4. Mark&Addison-I guess they weren't a real couple, but still... I think that he was acting so differently when it was about Addison, he was ready to give up his rugged outside look and to open himself from the inside (I think now they are trying to do that with him and Lexie, but I think Addie was better for him). And, he loved her enough to walk away in the end (when he told her that he broke their "pact", although we know who did that).
5.Addison&Alex-Although as you can see, I like Alex with Izzie, and Addison with Mark, I still liked the spontaneous fling between them. I mean, they grew to the point of liking each other (I mean, they started with her torturing him on her service in ob/gyn). So, I loved that chemistry they had, and I felt bad when it ended so quickly. I cannot explain how I can love her with both Alex and Mark, but that's it...
Ok, now to friendships, we have really similar opinion about them. Here are mines.
1. Meredith and Cristina-I just adore the friendship they have, it's like they say basically everything to each other, they confide in each other, and they had just one big fight, which is (for year and a half on the show) pretty amazing, don't you think? They are not like most of the friends, they are different and they totally understand each other, they like the same things, they hate the same things (like the "prince charming", when Cristina rolled her eyes, and Mer was all ironic. Aww, they didn't know they were actually talking about poor George).
2. George and Izzie-I loved their friendship, although Shonda seemed to have ruined it completely. I like how George always knows how to comfort his best friend, he helped her make the decision about the surgery, he was just always there for her when she needed him. And, when you look around, on her own way, she was always there for him (even when he married Callie, although after a while, and we all know how that ended...).
3. Derek and Mark-I think it's great that they made up after all "Addison thing", and now you can see how good of a friends they used to be in New York. Now, you can see that frienship again. I like how they tease each other sometimes (like that "Daddy" joke back in season 4). Oh, and when Derek was on a date with SYDNEY, and Mark offered to fake a heart attack, that was hilarious. :)
4. Mark and Callie-I like them more as just friends than "friends with benefits". It's great how they can talk about each other's problems, make solutions together (like a 1 step program, although it didn't last). And I love how Mark can comfort her, it's really a different side of Mark, which I seriosly like. :)
5. Fab 5-It's great how they know each other so well, they are an amazing team (of course they are amazing, they are Bailey's interns :). I love the scene with all 5 of them, they are a part of THE ORIGINAL GREY'S. Too bad now it will be Fab 4. :((((

Hey, which are your 5 least favorite characters? Sorry if it's boring for you to write all this stuff...
P.S. Yeah, when I think a little bit better, maybe you're right about Shonda. She indeed seems like an intimidating person. But, I cannot not to like her, after all she did make this amazing show.
