    I would seriously hope they would not allow Derrick to perform Izzies surgery only for her to die it would only solidify his decision to quit being a surgeon espeially someone so close to him.

    I think he will perform the surgery and the surgery will be a success but Izzie will go back to the trailer park with her mom as the cancer is already to spread and spend her remaining time with her mother. Or she will marry Alex and die soon after the wedding.

    I just watched the MerDer scene again and got a totally different view. Although it would have been nice to hear Meredith say "I love you" saying "I know" wasn't that bad. That was kinda Derek's apology for all the terrible things he said. Instead of saying "I know you love me" it was more "I know/knew you love/loved me, and you didn't mean it. I forgive you." Also, I now get that she wanted him to help Izzy for her. When she said "I don't know if I could walk away from somebody who could give up a gift like that," you could tell that she wanted to love him and respect him, but she knew if he didn't help Izzy that she couldn't respect him.

    at first i didnt like the merder scene and how she said i know, but after watching it again i understand it now and im glad she said it.

    Isn't that just the all-time Greys scene.  The fab 5.  The magic.  Everyone there for Izzie.  So intense.  So sad.  But so awesome, the amount of love.  That may very well be one of the best Greys scenes ever!!!
