omgg the little girl dying was so sad! i was crying for the entire commercial break after

and how her dad was telling her about mexico... anyone notice the allusion to heaven?

Okay, so I just finished watching the episode and I thought it was sooo good, not as good as elevator love letter, but still really good.
First of all - Bailey is going to make such a good peds surgeon. She was so good with Jessica, which was so so sad. OMG I was crying the whole time she was holding her. Jessica was so cute, and I couldn't stop crying, especially when her dad was talking to her about 'Mexico'
Also I absolutley loved the scene at the end. More Mer/Der/Lexie/Mark I say. It was so cute. I loved it how Mer was so casual about the wedding, she was drinking wine and was all happy about what was happening. It was also great when Mark and Derek came home and were all happy, it really reminded me of couples and their friends AND I LOVED IT!! More of that I say. I also loved when Mer was like 'you can stop eating now' cose Lexie eating through the episode was so funny. Speaking of the four of them together, the scene in the scrub room was also funny. 'Lexie's arse is huge' oh it made me bust out laughing. Although, I really do not want the Chief as Der's best man - it would just be plain wrong, hopefully now that Mark and Derek are happy again, he will be his best man.
Mer/Der scenes were short but cute. Loved the scene at the start when they were discussing the wedding, made me have a huge grin on my face - I just wish she was the type of girl to wear the ring. Did anyone else realise that she did take it with her when they got out of bed? Maybe there is ring-wearing hope afterall.
Izzie made me laugh through the episode - I new she was faking, but it was so sad when she realised to Christina that she was sick. I loved it how Christina cheered her up by making Mer wear the dress - she looked so beautiful at the end, and the chief seeing her wear the dress - oh it was perfect. I would love for the chief to walk mer down the aisle, but it won't happen. The scene with the three of them in Izzie's hospital room was so cute, how Izzie and Christina were both smiling at Mer. Although there wern't any Mer/Christina scenes in this episode. I would have thought that with Mer getting engaged and Christina breaking up with Owen that there would have been a lot of talking between the two - hopefully next week.
The man jumping off the roof was intense. You can see how Owen is now going to train George up to go off to war. I liked the end when George gave Alex his drink - I really want these two to mend their friendship, I mean they're part of the original 5 interns and they should be friends.
Callies dad was funny how he pushed George and Mark up against the wall.
Hmm can't think of anything else to say, I am just so excited that grey's is back, and I can't wait for next week. The chief may suspend her, but she won't be fired, she'll come back. It will be from extreame emotions from Mer of seeing Thatcher that she stands up for the little girl, then she'll go and talk it over with Derek. hopefully.
Sorry that I wrote a book, I'm just so happy that grey's is back and that there is a wedding happening!!!

Great post, emmalovesgreys! I just feel there's nothing left to say after you. Great epi...so intense... I have to admit that I expected much worse episode than Elevator Love Letter. I thought that Sweet Surender won't be so good. But Grey's Anatomy suprised me one more time. In a good way.
I guess that this epi was worth waiting three weeks (But seriously, they can't do that anymore! I think I couldn't survive another week without Grey's!).

I'm watching it right now and I can't believe no one mentioned the Callie-freaking-out scene where she just starts speaking Spanish like crazy. LOL Very good!

Wow. Not like last episode's Wow, but wow anyway. Hm. Less Owen/Cristina than I wished for, but still. Loved everything. Kind of lost for words right now, hehehe.

I confess was expecting a bit more... But it was a good episode :)
1) Loved the Izzie/Alex scene at the beggining when he smiles at her and then looks arounds and sees all the sick people- His eyes says it all, like the fact that Izzie is very sick just hit him.
2) MerDer scenes were funny! Loved when Derek when talk to Izzie and came back saying that they need to have dancing lessons
3)All MerDer/Slexie was kinda of fun... "She has a large ass now" or "I can stop eating now" lololololol Glad to see that the McDoctors are finally Mcfriends again.
3) The liitle girl storyline, so sad :(
4) CAllie speaking spanish hilarious! Her dad scene with George and Mark hilarious! Loved Mr. Torres speech to the Chief about children! The motive for concern, Callie being with Arizona may be wrong but we could see how much she's loved by her dad.
5) The way Izzie goes worse is breathaking. She's ok at the begging but at the end of the episode really hit us that she has cancer. The final scene with her, Cristina and Mer was very emotional one
6) George and Alex scene at the end in Joe's... My favorite scene of the episode!

Gosh, yes, that George/Alex scene was incredible. And much needed, IMO

I love it all! You all said perfectly! :)
I get that Bailey could be a great Peds doctor. By I think she would lose her family. A surgeon's life is hard enough. A Peds surgeon's life is impossible. And to be taking care with other kid and let her own child and husband in her day off... I think is too much. I think she can. I think she shouldn't have to.Izzie is dying. Ok. But the jokes are too cruel. Alex couldn’t be ok. The woman he loves is dying. He can’t be focused and 100% on top of his game. Just can’t. Loved George’s part!
About the chief, I think he's not the only one to blame in the affair. Ellis loved him too. And Ellis, being as strong as she was, could never be happy with someone like Thatcher Grey. And she was the main one to blame about Mer's terrible childhood. The chief is the only one (of the triangle) who is next to Meredith, so she blames him. And he tries hard, the best way he can, to be there for Meredith.
Meredith said about Mark and Derek's friendship: more than 20 years. But they're around 40, am I wrong? They are friends since childhood!
And loved Mark telling Callie “supporting is not the same as respecting”! I love their friendship and how he is her “big brother” sometimes!
Loved they find a way to explain Lexie eating a lot and became a little fat (because of her pregnancy in real life). And Mer finally saying "you are my sister"!
And Derek's compliment to Mark, in many ways his "little brother" too! That scene in the OR reminds me Derek and Addison when she did the baby transfusion. Both Addison and Mark were upset and complaining about Derek (Addison complaining about the thanksgiving dinner) but both did their jobs. And Derek was the cool one, just observing and pointing their success. I love to see Derek as the mature doctor he is.
I just wanted Derek to tell Meredith about it's his Mother's ring. Not any ring. It means a lot cause Caroline didn't give the ring to Addison. And I hope to finally see the whole Shepherd’s family at the wedding, big or not! And maybe some Private Practice’s friends will attend either!

"HEY! Stop speaking Spanish! 'Cause I have to go to surgery in a minute and I don't speak Spanish!" LOL One of the best lines :)
