    Just out of curiosity.. what did happen to Thatcher? For some reason I don't remember the last time they mentioned him.. maybe when Lexie first joined and became friends with Alex and he found out he was a drunk..

    Look, Thatcher is not a weak character. It is actually a really powerful character and a strong performance, he just didn't get the chance to develop a little further.

    I think they should bring him back, maybe something leading to a better relationship with Meredith, they still haven't strightened his alcoholism up yet. It can't be left at that.

    Hmm, maybe saying Thatcher's weak is the wrong choice of words. (though I didn't say that- lol) Maybe your post wasn't in reference to mine. But I think I understand your point though. I just felt that that long after the separation/divorce he never tried to get to know Meredith. Fine if he didn't stay and "fight", but when Meredith was older- he never made an attempt to contact her, so I felt he was a bit of a wuss. =\

    But I agree, I think they should def incorporate him back in.. would be interesting..

    well, I've just remembered one more breathtaking scene- the one in episode 3.02, when Derek comes to apologize to Addison in hotel room, and then Mark steps out from the bathroom naked, just in a towel!

    that was a shock!
