So given the lecture that Chief Webber got in "Desire" I think the writers are setting it up so that the Chief reneges on his resignation. After all he doesn't have a wife to go to.....what would he do with himself. Would that change Derek's dilemma (if it even is a dilemma, as I am a career women myself and do believe you can have both) or is the issue still there for he and Meredith to deal with.

I think that it would give DerMer and Burktina to settle more and get a good foundation in their relationships so that either Burke or Derek will then be in a place where they could be good chiefs. The kind of chief that Richard is looking for; one who is even better and more balanced.

yes, i think chief webber will renege on his resignation also, or maybe he will take a step back and get an assistant to share the responsibility with. i think his wife (or is she his ex-wife now) adele comes back in a later episode this season. imagine a 2 hour episode of grey's - its just too good to be true!!! i didn't know that addie asks callie to go to L.A. with her. maybe she will leave george when she finds out about his antics with izzie. i think she knows that the writing is on the wall and knows that there is no point in fighting for him. wouldn't it be a cruel twist of fate if both callie and izzie were pregnant. that would be a great season finale!!! does anyone know how susan dies??? maybe thatcher blames meredith for her death because susan was on her way to visit her and was killed in a car crash. no excuse for slapping her but sometime people get so stressed out that they lose control of their emotions. the burke cristina scenes look good in the dress shop. she is so freaked out and he is as cool as a breeze. he really gets her. poor mer/der - communication is breaking down at the moment. maybe some space is good to give them both time to think. i think its good that Derek is taking time to question their relationship - if they decide to go forward together it will make their relationship stronger. i really want them to sort things out. i wonder what will happen in the season finale between them.

Yeah I'm hoping the chief stays to after that little talk he had with that Larry guy! I would miss the chief sooo much! Hey Irish i totally agree with you about Burke and Cristina how Burke completely understands Cristina and gets her! its so funny because I think they are the couple that communicates the most and understands each other the most, and they really don't have to say much to communicate and understand each other just because they get each other so well! and I don't think Cristina was used to that at first but like Burke said in season 2 when she got keyed by him and he picked out all the little details like how she gets her coffee from that cart in the front and not the cafeteria and he said to her I know you, and she said those were little things but really those are huge things and it shows you how much he really loves her and gets her! and then after that she finally let him in by showing him her apartment and then after that she moved in with him! ohh wow I am probably totally boring you guys so much! lol :P

i´ve read a few Grey´s spoilers and they all mention that Mer gets slaped and is in danger of loosing someone very close to her.I´ve been thinking and maybe the person she is about to loose is derek...but this thought makes me sooooo sad!!Hope i´m wrong!

No, they will not let him move. Addicted2grey, it could be Derek, but I think that it will be ok but the next episode.

I think it will be ok too.I believe that Derek took the right way when he opened his hearth to Meredith. It took him a lot of courage to talk to her.It was not easy for him.Now is time for Mer to open her hearth too, they need to have a real conversation so that they can be really happy toguethr.
