I've said this before and I'll say it again, it couldn't be possible that the cliffhanger would be on Burke and Cristina. They are not so special and important in Shonda's eyes for them to take part in that. Most probably it would be Mer/Der or George/Izzie/Callie -- just because it seems that George/Izzie is Shonda's second favorite couple. I've always been a worrier when it comes to Burktina's wedding. I always fear that one of them will walk out right in the middle of the ceremony, or the ceremony won't push through at all. But today, that worrying ends. I turned my Grey's Anatomy calendar to May, and it's Burktina on it. Plus, Shonda made them appear on the cover of the GA magazine April-May edition. It's good omen, right? I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have done that if she's just going to break them up. Ohmygod. I am so excited about the wedding now more than ever.Posted 5/2/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Interesting thoughts about color symbolisms on Grey's Anatomy: “Pink in Shondaland symbolizes death, that’s why Izzie had on pink, Denny’s impending death. Meredith had on a pink sweater before she decided to drown and so did that little girl whose hand she was holding and was supposed to symbolize Meredith, that little girl had on a pink t-shirt. Red in Shondaland seems to symbolize some important life changing event or turning point, red lingerie Cristina was wearing before Mama and papa Burke busted up in Burke’s room, hehe, the red sweatshirt that Cristina was wearing in Whisper to a Scream, the red sweatpants she was wearing at the beginning of the episode where Burke proposed, the red dress Addy was wearing at the prom cause that was when teh adulterous prom sex occured leading to the infamous panties and the end of that annoying triangle from hell. Oh and I forgot Callie’s red blouse at the end of the episode where Gizzie’s nasty sex took place. Pink and red are definitely significant colors on this show. Oh, red velvet cake, keep in mind that red has symbolized life changing events and they don’t have to all be bad, turning points don’t all have to turn out bad. Burke’s mama coming was a turning point and Bang is still together that just pushed Cristina to stick and be less selfish. This just in through the Associated Press: Isaiah Washington, who came under fire after using an anti-gay slur, will appear in a public service announcement on behalf of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network. “We’re gonna have — I want to say at least two versions of it at this point. We may broaden our message a little,” the actor’s publicist, Howard Bragman, told The Associated Press in a phone interview Wednesday. Washington ran into trouble at the Golden Globe Awards in January after he used an anti-gay slur during a backstage press conference while denying he’d used it previously against Grey’s Anatomy castmate T.R. Knight. People magazine reported last October that Washington had allegedly used the slur during an on-set dustup with co-star Patrick Dempsey. Knight said soon after the incident that he was gay. After being criticized by GLAAD, a gay and lesbian advocacy group, and the ABC network, Washington issued an apology and sought counseling. Bragman said ABC, which is owned by The Walt Disney Co., was planning to shoot the ad in the next few weeks.A call to ABC seeking comment wasn’t immediately returned. Bragman said Washington, 43, plans to return to Grey’s Anatomy next year. “We’ve heard nothing to the contrary, and we have no plans to the contrary,” Bragman said. The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network seeks to ensure that schools safely accommodate students of all sexual orientations. I kind of agree with schmalentines about how shonda does not seem to like Burktina as much as any other couple, I don't know you can just sort of tell by their blogs they put on abc I mean half the time there is nothing about Burke and Cristina and on her podcasts she sometimes mentions them but half the time she talks about them for like 2 seconds! I mean the last blog not for desire but the one before that there was nothing I mean nothing mentioned in their blog about Burke and Cristina and I think it was a pretty good episode for Burke and Cristina! so i don't know i could be wrong I mean shonda just might totally love them but she just doesn't seem to worry about them as much because maybe she knows they will be ok, and they will be together FOREVER!!! lol hmm I never thought of it that way! :PPosted 5/2/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Hey mcdreamy02! yeah that might be true i mean they were scary and damaged before like more at the begining of the season with the hand tremor and the supposed "betrayl" from Cristina which is so not true! lol and with the silence thing lasting forever but maybe now shes not worrying about them because they are finally happy again, and I just listened to the podcast and she said about Cristina that Cristina does't really know how much she cares for Burke and about this wedding, shonda said that she showed him she cared at the end with picking the cake and they all picked that cake and didn;t know it like Izzie didn;t tell Cristina to pick it she just did because she liked it and that shows that she does care about the wedding and for Burke, so shonda did say that which I was happy with but maybe your right mcdreamy02 their relationship (right now) is not complicated and damaged, well maybe a little complicated with the wedding plans but nothing to huge that they can't deal with. Hey everyone...I can't wait for this episode tonight...I wonder what is going on in the elevator with Izzie & George...she looks soo upset in the previews...also...I hope they mention what happened to her daughter at some point....
