Why do we fall in love with shows like this?

Shows like Grey's Anatomy are very rare and unusual. Once in a while the chemistry is absolute, the actors are impeccable, and the writing is sublime. I agree, but I have one thing. One of my other fave shows is desperate housewives, which is sometimes refreshing because there's literally more color. All we see in Grey's anatomy is blue, white and, well....Grey. It's nice to see reds, and greens sometimes. But the mix of humor and Drama in Grey's is AMAZING!Posted 2/18/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Grey's Anatomy is addictive - so I've learned. I think it's the roller coaster ride of emotions, and the very 3-dimensional characters. It's scary how much you can relate to them sometimes. Even the ones you want to hate like McSteamy or Alex or Sidney (okay so I never hated Alex... but that's cuz he's just too cute.)Posted 2/22/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I love this show and I am not really sure why....there is love in the air there, drama, excitement....it can be wholesome and real and at times you have to give your head a shake! Most of the characters I think, we can all relate to at some level....some of us just wanting love and acceptance, others wanting respect for what we do and things we have accomplished. It shows life is not always fair. We can have what looks great from the outside, but we all have suffering to deal with...ex. Meredith's mom having Alzheimers, yet she is helpless to do anything about it....Everything rolled up nicely into one very cool and interesting show!!Posted 3/2/2007 1:00:00 AM #

*sigh* We fall in love with shows like this because it is the most amazing mixture of love.drama.hatred.death.life.comedy. We don't neccesarily want that kind of drama in our own lives...this way we can sit back and watch others go through it..but still relate in some obscure way. We fall in love with these shows because of the mixture of comedy,drama, action etc. but most of all it has all the elements of a soap opera that women love without it actually being a soap opera, the writers do an awesome job!!Posted 11/14/2007 1:00:00 AM #
