A new greys fan, and show opinions

Hi all.

I'm glad to have found this site. I came across greys through a tv on demand service, and once started watched season 1 and 2 in about 2 days. Suffice to say I was hooked!

I love the mix of emotion, comedy, and drama that is on display, and i suppose this is reflective of life in general. I connect quite a lot with meredith, in think im someone who is constantly asking questions about what exactly i'm meant to be doing and doubting my decisions.

I also like how different the characters are, especially as a lot of shows based around one particular field tend to write the characters all the same.

While i enjoyed series 3 and 4, and the first few of five, I do think that series 2 has been the show at its best. I think series 3 was actually quite weak compared to what had come before, and was glad to see the quality bounce back in series 4 which was obviously unfortunately hit by the writers strike. It is good to see that the quality has continued into season 5, and i'm glad to see Lucius Vorenus join the crew!

Welcome to fandom, parsnip2009!

Your take on the strength of the seasons is shared by a lot of people, so you're in good company. There's a lot of excitement about this season because it seems like it's back in a kind of groove. Since Meredith is your person, how are you feeling about the way Derek is behaving towards the roomates?

Well i actually kind of agree with him to a point. If meredith wants derek to move in she should ask the housemates to move out. However its also silly of derek to expect meredith to do this straightaway. As such i think the episode dealing with this handled the issue true to character.

If your talking about a character that I think makes no sense, that would be Izzy.

Well, you're not alone there either! Lot of fans (and former fans) have a lot of questions/opinions/ideologies/obsessions with Izzie. Total mess for you, sounds like? We'll see what happens tonight.

not alone indeed.. i actually never got Izzie..

I'm new as well.. I've watched every episode and despite and good and the less good I'm still hooked.. I don't have a favorite season but i liked very much of Season's 2 to 4..As for the Derek wanting Meredith to kick them out she shouldn't have to do it.. They should see they're in the way and take initiative!

Of course they should, but roomates never do what you want them to! I somewhat disagree, though. She doesn't need to kick them out, but Meredith does need to be clear with them about where she sees the whole thing headed. Something like "OK, Derek and I are going to need to be alone here, what is the plan for getting you guys a great new situation somewhere, and what kind of time frame is reasonable for that to happen."

I can't wait for tonights episode! I was totally engrossed by last week

Welcome to obsession parsnip2009!

Through the good and the bad I HEART GREY'S ANATOMY! I am addicted/obsessed/in love with it. The only part of season 1 I like is when in the first episode you get to see patrick Dempsey's butt! I just have to say this, in the first epsiode of season 2 when meredith says "Do you? Some how I doubt that because if you did, you would shut up, and you would turn around and go back inside, cause you would realize that i am this close to getting in my car and running you down in the PARKING LOT!" I love that quote. Also i understand what you ppl were saying about season 3. My only favorite part is Derek's face while Meredith is debating whether or not to start over with him

im not new at all ive been watching since the season 1 finale but i agree that season 2 is probably the best but i dont think anything could bet season 3 soo much emotion in that season filled with alot of humor also!

and omg greysanatomy is my life!!!!! that running u down in the parking lot quote is my favorite thing ever!!!!!!!! meredith is so adorable!

same here!!! its so great! there really wasnt a bad episode ? u know? every episode has something remarkable and special about it in that season. idk it was just the best season of Grey's ever!!!!
