Ages of the actresses and actors

   Hey, I was really surprised when I put them all together like this, isn't it weird?

   Eric Dane is only one year older than T.R.Knight! And Katherine Heigl is TEN years younger than Ellen Pompeo... just weird.

   So here, from the youngest on...

   I am really shocked for some reason that Ellen Pompeo is 40; not that it is a bad thing but I just never imagined her as being that old seeing as she just got out of medical school when she entered the show ya know? Weird. And I definitely didn't think she was older than some of the guys like Keven McKidd and Eric Dane. Her and Chandra Wilson are the same age? WHAT!?! Thanks for posting this. I had no idea. It is interesting to see how old they really are and what they are like outside of the Grey's arena.

   Yeah I think so too! I imagined Eric Dane a lot older and Dempsey younger...

    

   I was shocked, that KH is so much younger than all the other ones.

   Actually Meredith did go to Europe for an unknown period. I'd say she's older than the rest of the interns, and so is Christina, since she has a Ph.D. In the 2nd episode, Mer asks another intern(?) where she was when the spaceshuttle exploded. The intern answers "In kindergarten" and Mer replies with "Exactly".

   Never the less, Ellen Pompeo is older than Meredith. I would never have guessed she was 40, but she does look young for her age, or she doesn't look like the stereotype 40-year old.

   Age is also about mentality and your expression, which is why actors sometimes play roles almost 10 years their junior.
