Well you can fall pregnant with one overy and one Fallopian tube (sister-in-law fell pregnant after having an etopic pregnancy.

Cristina wants a career as a Cardio surgeon and she doesn't want to be a mother. But she is married now and she should include Owen in the decision to end the pregnancy. They are both doctors, Owen has said he would take time off to be at home for the baby and Cristina can still work. Cristina has to learn to compromise, parenting is team work.

    So to answer the question.

It will be a life changing experience if she does decide to have this baby.

Christina being pregnant is a life-changing experience. Her character is absolutely motherish, infact she reminds me so much of My own mother, determined, loyal, creative, and Oh-so-lovable (and she also reminds me a lot of Lane's mother from Gilmore Girl's). And Why else would someone as ruined as Owen was from the war, and still in love with his friend situation, choose Christina above all those factors. She is special, her character demands and craves development. This is hands down a life-changing experience that her character needs. She is a doctor, one of the original remaining character, if they don't give her this challenge to evolve through they wouldn't be needing their nisch of being a series that has lasted through several cancelled and soon to be cancelled shows. They've managed to keep many of the essential characters, and Christina is one of the characters who's been making the biggest progress in her personal life. So, why stop now?

I think it will totally ruin Cristina's character to give in to Owen and have this baby.  As someone pointed out, it's a rehash of Arizona and Callie's argument, except Owen can't claim to be blindsided by this.  Cristina made it clear from the beginning that she doesn't want children, never has and never will.  Everyone's saying she shouldn't give up children for her career and that Owen has promised to take care of the baby.  They're missing the point.  It's not about her career.  She could be a baker or candle-stick maker and Cristina still wouldn't want a baby.  It's just not who she is.  And saying that Owen promised to take care of it so it's not a problem misses the point as well.  Even if Owen is the stay-at-home parent or whatever, it still changes Cristina's life permanently.  As she said, you can't have half a baby.  She would still carry the baby for nine months, still give birth to it.  This isn't like goldfish where you feed them once a day and ignore them, it's a child.  It's not what she wanted and Owen WAS aware of that when they got married.  You can't marry someone hoping they'll change their mind on such a fundamental decision.  People get divorced daily because one doesn't want kids and the other does.  I'm also mad that the writers had a chance to show a strong, brillant woman who doesn't want children, who enjoys other people's kids (she'll be a great god-mother to Zola and Sofia), but doesn't want her own.  And instead of taking that route, it seems to be poor Owen, Cristina's mean and selfish and immature and won't give him a baby, even though he knew that from the start.  He wanted them to talk about it and they did.  She knows what he wants and even understands it, but she made her decision.  And instead of accepting that that's part of who she is, he just threw her out of the house.

I watched "With You I'm Born Again", again.  Meredith said in her voice-over- that change is the one constant in life.  However, people tend to fight against it- like- Cristina.  She definitely doesn't want this baby.  But- I think, she needs to have it.  It would show a continued growth in the character.

I agree with Owen- Cristina has a lot more potential to love- inside herself, than she knows.  She did say that if she had a baby, she would love it.  Besides, Owen would be there to help raise their baby.

Cristina will have to find out- what is behind her stubborn, refusal to, at least, consider Owen's vision too.

Been a while since I don't watch Grey's (like 1 year or something) but I feel like giving Christina a baby is reallu un-nescessary.

Specially if they forgot she can't.

if cristina has this baby it will kill everything that she has stood for. from day 1, cristina has never wanted kids and owen was well aware of this before they got married (kids were discussed in an episode during season 6). you can only change a character so much before they become someone totally different

one of my best friends is a lot like cristina, i love her and sometimes hate her: when i heard she was pregnant (an accident) all i could think was - what a disaster!! she will be a professor one day, spends all her time reading and working on her phd, she´s a highly intellectual cynic and never cared about kids at all.

and now? she´s a mother, although she still hates that word; a very unconventional mother telling ancient greek goodnight stories, explaining her baby philosophical theories and discussing her phd with him although he´s still under 3, taking him everywhere without really behaving like a mom (i think they´re more like partners in crime). fortunately, his father does most of the annoying parent-stuff, caretaking etc., while she still ambitiously makes her career. i think the boy already knows all ancient philosophers, will later become a very opinionated teenager possibly resenting books, but he will always know his parents love him and the three of them - although soooo far from the family-cliché - somehow belong together. they are much more intense and interesting then any other family i know as they do´nt care at all what people think about them and the reason that they´re still together is not an institution or anybodys expectations; they just want to spend their life together. being with them is always refreshing and this kid is so confident and funny,a complex personality already; he knows exactly what he wants - like his mother.

i think it could be very interesting to see cristina with a little super-surgeon-baby showing already a complex personality: she would never do what people expect her to do as a mother and i love it when she´s confronted with interesting other people (a baby can be so stubborn and smart...), she could even be sort of a role model for unconventional strong mothers without the constant fear of failure, as she would still do exactly what she wants to. why not?

Cristina is just plain stupid, She has said repeatedly that she dosen't want a child at all and yet she with someone that has exspressed that he wants to become a father and so she marries him anyways. "Rollmyeyes" So to advoid this from happening the second time "LMAO" She covers all her bases ...... oh thats right she didn't. So now it's get an abortion and lose her husband or have a child that you dont want and come on this is cristina she well rezents this child forever. Either way she's scr**** herself this time.

Cristina said NO, never have children, either now or later. Why?His actions prove otherwise, she refused surgery to stay with a girl, because she identifies with her. When she knew that Meredith was pregnant, she was happy to be the godmother and raise this child with its principles.I think the problem lies elsewhere. She lost her father and her pain is too present, she is not very close to his mother. cristina scared and things to be resolved before becoming a mother for sure. She was married to heal from the trauma, now she is happy.

I think having that child would be beneficial, but love is pain when you lose.
