Ellen Pompeo's Due Date

   Does anyone care to make a guess as to when her baby is due?  Then, when she has it we can see who was the closest.  

   I'll start with  September 22.

   I think that it would be earlier in September, like maybe around Sept 7th.  It would be cool though if she had the baby on the day of the season premiere, like Chyler Leigh (Lexie) had hers on the day of the Season Finale!  How ironic would that be?

   She looks about 4-5 months along, so about November? But it would be funny if she had it on the season premire.

   That would be great.  I don't want her to take time off though I know she'll need to.  The show just won't be the same without her in it.

   lol. It would be cool if she did have her baby on the season premiere but then she wouldn't be able to do the show... My two friends and I are all born in late October and early to mid November and the three of us are taking bets on who's birthday her due date is closest too! My b-day is October 28th...

   She has said that she is filming 12 episodes before leaving to have the baby, which would put them in plenty of time to have Fall episodes (they start filming this month I heard) and then let her break when they are having their winter break anyhow, and not have Meredith be missing from any episodes.   This would work well....I can't imagine a Grey's episode with NO Meredith.

   I didn't know she said that...that's great news!  Maybe that also means they won't write the baby into the story.  I'm glad because I feel she and Derek need more happy times together before a baby complicates things.  Season 7 would be good for that.

   They start filming this month? Wow that's really early - and it means that all the spoilers will be back on the internet, which means we won't be able to go anywhere on the world wide web!

   I think that they start filming at the end of this month.  That is what my friend heard from her friend who is the contractor on the Grey's writers' offices.  The writers have been back for a week or two already.  But, who knows?  They may not have all the proper information, but it would seem like maybe they are trying to work around Ellen's pregnancy so as to not have her miss anything (YAY!  THANK YOU!)

   I also think a McBaby is unlikely this season, and as you said, wannabemer, the timing is maybe not the best, so it might be better for season 7.  Ellen is so cute pregnant, that it would be adorable to see Meredith pregnant, but I think that she and Derek need to get used to being "married" maybe actually get married legally before they have a baby and deal with all the trauma that is happening around them, with Izzie and George, before the complications of a baby arise for them.  I love my babies, but they certainly do change things!    All speculation until they come back this fall though.
