Hi Y'all, I have been reading about Lexie Grey becoming a real cast member and it was all about chemistry between her and McDreamy and so on and I just have to share my thoughts about it (as my biggest problem will always be not to be able to just keep my mouth shut, but anyway). First of all: I don't know, if she looked any better on tv, but on pictures she really looks not very intelligent, but very arrogant and she is totally not the kind of woman McDreamy would be interested in. And if Shonda wants to scare Meredith by McDreamy having a relationship/affair or whatever with Lexie, I will declare her totally a bad writer and storyteller. This can't be it. I completley agree!! At first I truly did believe that she was fooling us.. but signed for 13 seasons?? THIS IS GOING TOO FAR!!! I don't want Meredith to become like Addison... pushed out of the equation because Lexie and Derek are so "madly" in love. With Addison though it was different.. she came ruined the relationship and then backed off!!! Then we loved her.. it seems like Shonda is making Lexie an impossible person to love. Also about Lexie is that she and Mer are bound to have an awkward relationship seeing as her dad (Thatcher) thinks that Meredith killed Susan.. that really doesn't make for a good relationship between the two.. I know it sucks, but I recall a few years back when they were interviewing Shonda and asking her questions about MERDER and who will end up with whom she Shonda said she already knew who Mer and Der would end up with..so if she knew 3 years ago then it doesn't matter who compromises their relationship now or who shows up... they will end up together..I just know itPosted 7/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #

That is what I always thought, BUT last season so many changes developed, first Private Practice, then all about Isaiah Washington, I think she lost her focus and as I said before, I don't believe in the masterplan in Shonda's drawer anymore. Sorry. Plus: Shonda knowing doesn't mean they end up with each other - hm, sort of like Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling knew the end before she even wrote the second book. I don't know, I just get mad at this woman without knowing her and i even get mad at the actress even though I don't know her - that truly is ridiculous, because I am Mrs. Harmony. Anyway, if a serious relationship between Derek and Lexie develops I will stop watching. There are more ways to develop as a person. Pschyrembel, I feel the same way you do. Season3 had me crying and drinking and drinking and crying. I thought I had lost my mind. SHONDA has NO CREDIBILITY with me at all. I don't believe ANYTHING she says.I WILL NOT WATCH THIS SHOW IF MOST OR ALL OF THE SCREEN TIME GOES TO THE NEW PEOPLE. First of All I'm sick of Mer's FAKE FAMILY. WHO NEEDS THEM? The only reason susan was there,because she felt guilty about knowing about Mer as a child and never getting her husband to work things out with her. She knew and she told Mer in season 3. " I knew about you,I should have done something, you were a child We were the Adults". So for me the HELL with these other Grey people. Mer has a family, Der, Cristina,Alex even Callie has stepped up to the plate and the chief.I'm telling you Season 4 is going to be worst than Season 3. And even I did'nt think THAT COULD BE POSSIBLE. It looks like to me SHONDA has spread herself to thin. ABC has her working on (3) projects. I said last year. It was TO soon for a spin off and her starting another project. She should have waited until Grey's was in it's 7-9th Season. And she should have continued hands on all episo. like she did with season 1 & 2. I'm telling you, all we fans are going to have is season 1 & 2 and (5) episo. from season 3. This show is NOT GOING TO MAKE IT. I agree with the stuff about the spin off!! It is way too soon!!! Seriously!? Addison hasn't even had a smooth trasistion off of Grey's Anatomy! Her character just got there and she's already gone!! This is sooo frustrating.. I wish that the grey's we know and love would come back for seasons and seasons to come.. but with the road it's taking... our time with grey's seems to be getting shorter and shorter!Posted 7/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I actually feel more positive about Lexie since I heard she is going to be a regular. Because I think that means its more likely that she will be used as family for Meredith, not to become part of a MerDer triangle. They have already triangled us to death with Addison-Mark-Finn, I can't believe they would be so lazy in their writing skills as to fall back on that plotline yet again. I am really starting to think that Lexie in the bar was a tease to fans, and that they may use her to pair up with Alex or Mark. Remember how we've all commented that they need to bring some new people in, because of how unrealistic its been for the 5 interns to be dating the 4 attendings? It would tarnish McDreamy's image completely if he had a thing with Meredith's sister, it would turn fans against him, I don't believe Shonda will do that.Posted 7/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #
