Was anyone else wondering when Izzie knew she had stage 4 cancer she never asked to meet her daughter? Or at least tell Alex about her? Because what would happen if one day the little girl shows up and she finds out Izzie is dead? I mean I thought maybe they could just meet properly?

Funny, I was just thinking that the other day after re-watching the episode when her daughter showed up at the hospital needing a bone marrow transplant.  You'd think she might at least tell Alex about her.  George knows, but he might not be able to help either, he isn't looking like he has too long too live either! It would be nice for her to meet her though...

I think there is one simple explanation: the writers forgot about that storyline...

Because otherwise, I don't see any reason why a possibly dying Izzie wouldn't want to see her daughter or at least tell about her to her friends - especially Alex.  Okay, the not-wanting-to-see-her, I can find an explanation: she doesn't want the girl to see her like this, you know, after seeing her biological mother and talking to her for the first time, and then immediately hit by the shock and tragedy that she might die...

But I would bet on my very first explanation.

I wouldn't see Izzie telling Alex about her daughter because talking about her gets her really upset. I see Alex finding out from someone like George or Bailey (the other person that knows about her) Izzie meeting her daughter would be an interesting S6 storyline if Izzie survives and the cancer continues for part of the season. But would you tell an 11 or 12 yr old who has/had cancer herself that your birth mother has stage 4 skin cancer? It would affect the child greatly.

I would love that for season 6. It may be neat for mother/daughter remission process together!

I wonder if there will be any episodes in season 6 with her daughter?  Bailey and George are really the only ones who know about her (well I suppose her mom too, but Bailey and George knew she was in the hospital for the bone marrow transplant - maybe she could do something to save Izzie now.)  It seems apparent that George would not be able to locate her in his current condition, so maybe Bailey would call Hannah's parents when Izzie gets a little better (SHE MUST GET BETTER!!!)
