One of the many things that I Love about Patrick Dempsey is his passion about Mer/Der! He wants the fairytale just like all of us fans! Attached is a link to an interview of PD at the race this week-end @ Watkins Glenn. It sounds like he is just as much in the dark as the fans are as far as knowing what the future holds for Mer/Der. aww that was a good interview!
i was at that race (its 90 miles from my house) and i got to talk to him for 10 minutes on friday and he is the nicest guy EVER! i couldnt exactly keep the conversation going while looking at him, but he was even nice enough to pretend i was and when i accidently changed the topic he just continued like we'd been talking about that the whole time haha. and his racing was awesome! though he did almost get in a crash early off and i kinda freaked out, but nothing happened so it was all good.

Oh wow! That is definatley a dream of mine to meet PD one day. That is so exciting! There is no doubt that he is the nicest guy ever. That is what everybody says that meets him. What did you guys talk about? Did you ask him anything about Mer/Der or Ellen's pregnancy? Just wondering. I would probably have been so nervous I wouldn't know what to ask him! (ha) I guess I will have to go to a race one day because that seems to be the only way to meet him. I live in NC so I'll have to find the closest racetrack to visit, I guess Virginia. Well congratulations on meeting Patrick, I'm sure it will be something you'll NEVER forget!

i didnt think i would ever meet him but i guess it can happen! i met him twice technically (friday and then saturday) and he remembered me on saturday and was asking how the drive there was and stuff. we talked about a lot. umm about the dempsey challenge, the race, his car, my trip to the bahamas, about me wanting to be a director/screenwriter and a little about greys. i didnt ask about merder though, i was lucky enough to be able to say anything. at one point we were talking about portland maine and i started saying something about portsmouth cause i forgot what city we were talking about and he pretended thats what we were talking about portsmouth and was like "portsmouth is a really nice city too!" hahaha he was even rubbing my back when i got pictures with him cause i think he could tell i was almost freaking out and was trying to calm me down.
hopefully you'll be able to get to one of his races and meet him too!

I am so sad I missed this. My husband and I talked about going and then somehow we both forgot and got busy with other stuff! I will have to wait and see when he is back at the Glen (we are about 2.5 hours away, but would LOVE to see him race) Congrats to you for getting to meet him! I would have loved to get a chance to chat with him!

It's my dream to meet him. I'm sure he's e really nice guy. Maybe one day when i'm old enough I can move to the US and meet him one day.

Yay! I just convinced my hubby that we should drive to the race in Ohio in 2 weeks! Patrick is on the race roster there. It is about a 4 or 4 1/2 hour drive, but it will be fun! Even better, he is thrilled that this is a wonderful father's day present for himself! And, maybe I will get to meet Patrick! That would be incredible. I would probably be a blubbering idiot, but oh well.

I saw that Patrick is on the entry list for Ohio. He said in an interview that he is focusing only on racing this summer during his break from GA. It looks as if he will be racing right up until the show starts back on July 12th (I think). He races @ The LeMans this week-end and then to Ohio and the following week-end I think he said Daytona. Anyway, it sounds like he will be really busy right up to the filming of GA. I'm sure from what I read and his interviews this makes him Very Happy!
I think its great that so many of his fans get to meet him in person. As I said earlier, I hope I will one day. My grown sons think I'm loosing it when it comes to Grey's Anatomy and especially Patrick Dempsey! (ha) Its funny. But, I love the show and all my friends and I talk about it all the time and naturally, who doesn't love Patrick Dempsey! Right?
