remember izzie's daughter?

   Okay, so I've been re-watching Grey's, from the beginning. And halfway through Season 2 Izzie shows a picture of her daughter! I forgot she had a daughter! And then I asked Google, trying to figure out why she disappeared, and I found an episode I vaguely remember, where her daughter comes to the hospital... but then we never hear of her again right? Does she die? Because why wouldn't she come see her mom (Izzie) while her mom's going through chemo? It makes NO sense. Maybe she died, does anyone remember? Or was this story-line just dropped?

   Izzy's daughter was born when Izzy was just a teenager, so she gave her up for adoption. When the daughter comes to the hospital she has some sort of cancer (if I’m not mistaken), which only could be cured by something from the mothers spine. 

   Izzy and the "new" parents agree that it would be best that Izzy and her daughter never have any contact. Izzy didn't even say hello to her in the episode were she helps her.
