Caterina Scorsone Heading to Grey's Anatomy

The Shepherd siblings will be repairing their relationship in the upcoming season of Grey's Anatomy.

Caterina Scorsone, who's been upped to series regular on Private Practice, will appear on the third episode of Grey's Season 7, executive producer Shonda Rhimes tells TVGuide.com.

Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice's next crossover? A Shepherd reunion

Though Rhimes declined to offer storyline details, sources tell TVGuide.com that Scorsone's Dr. Amelia Shepherd goes to Seattle to reconcile with brother Derek (Patrick Dempsey).

The two have not been on speaking terms since Amelia turned to drugs while grieving the death of her father, who was shot and killed in front of her and Derek.

Grey's Anatomy returns Thursday, Sept. 23 at 9/8c.

Gotta say, kind of happy that it will take place in Seattle. I hope things go well for them.

So she's going to Seattle alone? No Addison? Hopefully. I wonder how everything will turn out..

All I going to say is that she better be nice to Meredith and actually connect with her, because from what I heard Amelia and Meredith are kind of alike.

Maybe that why Derek and Amelia don't get along, because he doesn't get her, just like he didn't get Meredith way of thinking in the past. Maybe that is why Amelia is sort of envious of Derek, because of she feels unworthing very much like Meredith felt in the past.

Meredith used to think that Derek was too good for her, that was one of the reasons why Meredith didn't commit to Derek back in season 3 and Derek didn't get Meredith because he only saw the black and white of things. Derek didn't understand Mer's dark and twisted ways.

Since Amelia hasn't talk to Derek since he met Meredith, she doesn't know that Derek has change and may understand her better now. Ever since Derek got together for good with Meredith he has learn a little bit to understand how dark and twisted people think.

I'm starting to get intersted in this crossover.
