What did you think about the grey's anatomy season premiere?

I was a little disappointed. Does anyone think the show has jumped the shark?

I do, except if tey figure out some magic formula to make the show as good as it used to be.

Once I got over the initial pain of George's death, I really liked the premiere. It was good for the most part. The only thing I didn't like about it was throwing the merger into the mix so suddenly. Back in the good ol' days of Grey's, there would be one shocking thing at a time. Not ambushing us with shocking things that don't even really make sense. I think the only reason it wasn't that great is because compared to seasons 2 and 3 where Grey's storyline and characters were at their peak, it falls short. Hopefully it'll turn around though.

Most certainly jumped the shark. This episode is so bad that I'm considering deleting my season pass on the TiVo. They left last season with a humdinger of a cliffhanger climax. Then they come back with this chaotic crap. All the 'drama' about the merger. Uhh, since when are the doctors the first to go? They produce revenue. Staffers get whacked first. From a dramatic standpoint, they cheated and didn't actually whack any characters where there has been any investment in character development. Heck I barely recognized the folks that went.
And on a side note, extraordinarily bad management example. Hiding, then dropping an email to those to go with nothing said to everyone else and bailing out. He should be fired.

Honestly, the premiere wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be, and I was a bit afraid that this season wasn't gonna be as good. But the third episode was just amazing. I loved it. I think this season is going to be great. The premiere was weak though.Posted 10/2/2009 6:31:11 PM #
