    Hi, everyone.  I'm not usually very active on forums, but as this site is particularly helpful, I thought I might join :)

    About the MerDer song:

    I actually think it's a theme, which means it's part of the original Grey's Anatomy score, played by a commissioned pianist for the show.  It seems to be quite a short piece.  Maybe someone could hassle Shonda for the sheet music!   I think it's lovely.

    from my extencive research, its one of many composition peices by Danny Lux. I have still yet to find a site with the stuff from Grey's. he also does CSI er somthing. I found those ones

    This is not a song,it's just a special piece of music made just for the show,i have looked everywhere too. You could always find a video on youtube (lots of videos contain the single piano piece) and convert it to an mp3 song. I like to use listentoyoutube.com. Best of luck :) :)

    I think we can be sure that all piano background parts are kind of scores written for the show.

    the merder theme is one of them, the other i've been looking for in particular is the part (played several times, but the one i actually remember) is in 3X17 Some Kind of Miracle when Meredith finally wakes up and the others arrive happy to her bed.

    maybe we should kind of press Shonda or the production to release a Grey's Anatomy Score CD :)
