Yes Gizzie was the most perfect couple ever and they had such great chemistry. I don,t get how anyone could not have loved them.
Then I don,t think they had that many haters. I think the Gizzie fans were the majority but the haters were just so pathetically obsessed with ruining them that some cheated and spammed to get their way.
The ratings were much better when they were a couple.
I kind of feel sorry for those that don,t like them. They don,t know what they are missing.

Amen, Marina. I wish they were given an actual chance. From what I hear, Mark and Lexie aren't that popular and they're being given a chance.

I know. I don,t get that. Most people hate Mexie and they are given a chance. Shonda even put up that online about people thinking they are ugly, that was us the fans. So she is standing up for the awful Mexie but she didn't for Gizzie, why? Gizzie still has tons of fans and I don't believe we are the minority at all.

Good to see Gizzie fans chatting!!! I agree completely-- I think the Gizzie fan base is much larger than anyone realizes. The haters have just been so darn loud in the past-- they out-shouted us, but did not outnumber us! I hear support for Gizzie all over-- there are lots of supporters that seem to post in the comment sections here on Insider-- I wish they'd register and post even more... but I do believe the voices are many.
There does seem to be alot of Mexie hate going around. It is strange to see that Shonda & Co. do not seem to be backing down, in spite of all the hate talk going around. Does this indicate that she's learned from past mistakes??? Or does she value Mexie more than Gizzie??? I'd like to think it's that she's learned from past mistakes....
I have a very positive theory on Shonda and all that has gone on w/ Gizzie (I say theory b/c I don't necessarily believe it to be true, but I'd like to think and hope that it is!!!).... so here goes:
Maybe Shonda has had a vision of Gizzie together all along. So she went there. And when she went there, she tried a ratings boost with the whole George getting married and then discovering that he's actually in love with Izzie and the affair, etc. But what she didn't realize was that it was going to backfire in her face (b/c apparently many fans can be outraged by the whole affair thing when it's George but not when it's Der w/ Mer or Mark w/ Addie, or Chief w/ Ellis, etc). Once she realized this she knew she had to pull them back if she really wanted to do them justice.... if she really wanted to portray that connection and that love between them as pure as it is, she knew she had to pull back..... AND in the meantime, she had to give the AI fans what they want and let it run through their systems.... in the end to have it eventually not work out w/ Alex and then later on George and Izzie find their way back to each other. So, the recent Gizzie reconnection is the beginning of the way back... reconnecting the friendship at a time when fans wouldn't accept anything BUT the friendship being restored (just about every single Greys fan would say that it would make NO SENSE for Izzie to go through this w/o her best friend George by her side.) So this is the beginning of a long journey back, one that would strategically bring these two back together romantically in a way that, hopefully, the haters won't freak out about.
Now, how's that for wishful thinking???

I'm so sorry I have not kept up with this forum- I have been moving into a new apartment this week and I finally found the internet cable with my kitchen stuff. How weird is that lol?
Oh and sorry for telling you that lifetime was playing the old episodes. I had no idea they were going to start playing season 5 :)

A new apartment! Congrats!! Moving can be total chaos!! LOL at the internet cable-- the kitchen stuff is a good place-- you know it won't get buried in any boxes that can sometimes wait for months to open!!!
I didnt even realize the lifetime epis weren't old ones-- ? I meant to check it out, but man, if I stay up that late on a Sunday I am toast for the week!! They are actually starting S5?? I still gotta go back and watch that dream a little dream epi again-- you know Shonda said all we need to know is in that epi!
So, my cherished fellow Gizzie fans--
what do you all think about the theory out there that maybe the wedding at the end of the season is actually an AI wedding??? I'm curious to see what your thoughts are on that upsetting idea!!!

Sorry I've been neglecting this forum for a couple of days. Driver's ed is a pain in the ass and likes to take up my time -.-
I love your wishful thinking, Cindy. It's genius! Ya know, if the writers are having issues with writing for George, why don't they just have George fans come in and pitch ideas? I think everyone that's posting on this forum should go in and write for George's storyline for a few episodes and see where it goes. Watch us all disagree on something silly LOL

OK so hwo can anyone value Mexie more than Gizzie? Mexie are totally mismatched and came out of nowhere. We nevers ee them do anything but sprout corny lines, have gross sex and talk about their great talks we never even see.
George and Izzie had this amazing connection that built over years, and then this attraction and real deep deep love.
They didn't come out of nowhere. In season 2, when Izzie wanted some sex, she and George started flirting big time at that table. When she grabbed him, she looked like she wanted to kiss him. The chemistry and sparks were there even in season 2.
I don't believe we are the minority.
You know it's funny you talk about them overshouting us. I remember reading a mag from another country and they said just that. They said that Gizzie was loved by the majority and that the haters were the minority but they were extra loud and rabidly hated Gizzie so everyone saw them and not us.
I wish Shonda would be as smart as that mag.
I don't get the Mexie thing either, except maybe that their fans are extra-loud too and not above cheating to get what they want. It's possible also that she doesn't really like Mexie but that she is really in love with the idea of the two guys marring the two sisters, you know?
More the idea, than the couple themselves.
You guys know it is TR's birthday today? I am not sure why the site didn't put up anything for him. They do usually.
