    Maybe he didn't even think it through. Like he was soo mad that he went ahed and punched Mark. It probably doesn't help that the constant reminder of the ruined marriage is in the hospital.

    Remember in 3x19 when Mark asks Meredith to do the bone graph (sp ??) on Ava and Derek finds out about it?  He pretty much threatens Mark's life right there...If he's gonna hurt him over her failing, i can only IMAGINE what he'd do to him if he thought he was after Meredith.  Serously?!?!

    BTW Greysanatomyismylife - I fit in with everything you said in the "You know You're a Grey's fan when" forum!!!

    merderforlife- if you didn't...

    He probably would automatically go after Mark if he heard "Grey" "Sloan/Mark" and "sex/McNasty/sleeping" in the same sentence! He wouldn't even stop to think that Meredith wouldn't do that!

    Well, I've been thinking about that since I've seen the preview on Thursday night but I think it has to be really bad, Derek had punched him once and that is when he had slept with his wife and in this he more attacks him so it has to be bad.

    my point exactly... we only seen Derek hit Mark when he first came to SGH and because he was TALKING to Meredith... it's got to be 'cause of her.. or at least what he thinks is going on..

    But why would Mark punch back instead of getting away or trying to talk? I've watched it 5 times and Derek's face STILL creeps me out! 

    What will be cute is after Meredith will probably either yell at Derek for thinking she'd cheat on him or help him.
