You are of course joking! Derek has to be the most annoying person. ANY other relationship is better than any that has Derek as part of it.
I have to say I've put up with Dereks mood swings for 5 series. He is a nightmare. Meredith is worried she is "dark and mysterious" - he's the one that's high maintenance.
The writers have alot to answer for.
Meredith should run a mile. Any other male character in the programme would be a million miles better.
Run Mer, run!

WOAH! Derek is NOT annoying. I admit that he can be a bastard and I hate him for that but he IS McDreamy!!! He totally deserves his title.
Even when he is a McBastard I never doubted that he and Meredith would be okay and I NEVER thought she should "run a mile".
Also... it's "dark and twisty" not "dark and mysterious". And yes, that does matter! It's a HUGE part of the show!

I have to say my favorite was Izzie and George.
They had a cute relationship and didn't have to fight with the each other to convince them. They had real love!

I cannot believe that some people think Derek is annoying. I agree with greysanatomyismylife. Yes he has made some wrong decisions throughout the course of the show. But he is a dreamboat. He is the one for Mer. Even when he was with Addie, Mer should never have run a mile. They belong together

I agree with both greysanatomyismylife and emmalovesgreys, Derek is not annoying.
He had his bad moments (I hated when he named her a whore, but I gotta admit I loved how the "You don't get to call me a whore" speech was acted).
Also, he so deserves his McDreamy title, because, damn it, he is simply McDreamy.
And, this season he actually apologized to Mer in his own way when he called her to come to his trailer.
He has his bad side, we all do, but he is the one for Mer, he is the one that makes her happy (and millions of fans too), so that's the only thing that matters.

i love MERDER but i also LOVE Mexie. mark and lexie are to cute together so is meridith and derek and i love how they are sisters and they are best friends. at the end of sweet surrener and every scene with lexie in it i was in stitches of laughter.

I know that lots of fans don't approve them, but I also love Mark and Lexie, and I love the fact that Mark and Derek are best friends, and they are both dating the Grey sisters, for me it's a beautiful connection.
Their best scene was when Lexie said "I broke you", and when he replied "Little Grey, you didn't break me apart, you put me together".
So, my favorites are Mer and Der, but I also love Mark with Lexie and Alex with Izzie.
