Malicious Software Popups
-
I know this topic is not in the right place, but it would not allow me to post a new topic anywhere besides here. Grey's Anatomy Insider has not provided us with a way to contact their administrators so I have to bring this up here. The site is riddled with malicious software installer popups and I believe this to be incredibly irresponsible. Not everyone knows what these things are, but I spot them immediately. The most common one is called "Registry Cleaner" and it comes up pretty much every time I access this site. Since there is no contact link to the people who organize this site, who are we to report this very serious scam to? Potentially there are millions of users accessing this site on a daily basis. Am I the only one who sees this attack on our computers as irresponsible to say the LEAST? No matter who you are, if you are a webmaster you should be accountable for the content on your website. If I wanted to get a virus or be spied on, I'd turn off my firewalls and run Kazaa. This is not the kind of place this kind of crap should be floating around.Posted 11/21/2006 1:00:00 AM #

I guess nobody but me gives a crap about the health of their computer. The admins of this site are responsible for the content and should be liable for allowing malicious software popups on their servers. I won't be frequenting this website if the popups are not removed. You all should be concerned for not only the heal of your computer, but for your confidentiality. Spyware is being install on your computers when you visit this website. The ball is in your court now, admins.Posted 11/23/2006 1:00:00 AM #
