I love that scene when Mer tells Der that she doesn't want her mother to die alone! That has got to be one of the BEST Mer/Der moments of all time. There are SO many, but that is one of my favorites. I have a friend that just started watching GA for the 1st time and naturally I have all the seasons for her to watch and she is on season 2 now. I have been waiting for her to get to this particular episode and I just asked her about it tonight and she was telling me how much she really liked it that scene. I think I'll list a few of my favorite scenes.
1st episode with Mer/Der in the stairwell with Der telling her she took advantage of him and the very last scene after surgery when Mer was sitting outside the OR and he walks out and the way her just looked at her.
Mer/Der kissing in the elevator for the first time and at the end of the day instead of taking the elevator with him again, she decided to take the stairs and he just smiled as he was playing with his blackberry and said "thats sad". Der telling Mer "more kissing I say".
The episode where she kept asking him to tell her something about him and he asked her to trust him and then he took her to his trailer and land. These are just a few scenes that come to mind from season one and there are still so many more. I truly have SO MANY favorite scenes between these two that I love throughout season 1-5. I could just list on and on. In my opinion, all scenes between Patrick and Ellen are memorable. I just love them together. They really give it their all when they are together! THe way he looks at her is so magical. And now in season 5, they still are as strong as ever in their scenes. I think they are the perfect TV couple of all time!

Amen. MKathy. They are truly the best actors to ever play a couple. Their chemistry on and off screen is amazing.

Those are all awesome!! my all time favorite is the last episode of season 4 the speech that mer gives him!!!

i think if the actors weren't this great the show wouldn't be this huge.. :D

Wow there are too many to choose from but if I had to pick one from every season it would be....
Season 1- episode 1, when they are in the stair well discussing their one-night-stand!
Season 2- episode 15, after Meredith has to kill her old lady patient and they are sitting in the linen closet... love it!
Season 3- episode 8, definately hilarious bathtub scenes.... they are the best!
Season 4- episode 16, well i guess there are two from this episode- 1. when they get their patients laid and they call themselves PIMPS!, and of course 2. the candle house!
Season 5- episode 11, dancing it out in the living room (this is my fav so far)

I have to add the dancing! One of my all time favs! This show would not be nearly as good with out MerDer and the AMAZING cast!

I just thought of another one that I love - you guys have mentioned it already.. Season 3, Episode 1 when Derek tells Meredith he is in love with her. But, it isnt that bit so much that I love (although its pretty awesome!), its when he says - "I just want you to take your time. Because you have .. a choice to make. And, when I had a choice to make, I chose wrong". And, Meredith has tears in her eyes and you can just feel what those words mean to her. Of all words, those ones were the most powerful!
And, now another favourite! Derek standing by his jeep waiting for Meredith as she came out from the prison after watching the execution - all I can say is WOW! And, her pouring her heart out through the tears, and he knowing exactly what she needed and giving it to her - Cristina - WOW!

my soon to be favorite merder moment will have to be the proposal! i just can't wait..yay!!..i have to say every merder scene in every episode is just worth watching..
