oh oops, i think i read it wrong, you said that it wouldnt be cristina and owen. so good! i wouldnt mind as much if izzie and alex got married instead of meredith and derek, given the conditions theyre under, but if cristina and owen did id be really mad ;p

After this episode, I'm certain that their wedding will not take place. There was too much air time showing her inspecting the engagement ring and placing it on the night stand. What happens when she looses it? While it's common for a woman to spend a lot of time looking at the ring, why was Meridith. She was inspecting how far her life has come, and then postponing the commitment.
Two other possibilities, she does not want the wedding to be common knowledge yet (why?). And more importantly, while most doctors and surgeons wear their wedding band and engagement rings, the engagement ring cannot be worn during surgery.
Everything has mentioned several things happening on their "wedding day" not at their wedding. If there is going to be a wedding, it'll take place next season. We'll have to wait all summer to find out. Unless they actually pospone it to get the one Meridith wants, their relationship is taking another nose dive.
I'm betting on Lexi and McSteamy, and Meridith and Tequila will become good friends again.

Some spoilers already said it that Mark and Lexie won't be the ones who get married... Still betting on Alex and izzie...
And I don't think Meredith will run to tequilla again, my guess is that she will realized that wedding isn't her dream and decides to go for the inicial plan, a small wedding, and leave the big one for the person who dreamed with it, Izzie!

Anika, I agree with you, I think that Alex and Izzie are the ones that are getting married. I wanted the marriage to be MerDer's, but the church wedding really doesn't fit to them. The elevator proposal was not clasic, it was unique, and so MerDer and I think that their wedding should be like that too, UNIQUE.
So, my guess is that she will give the wedding to Izzie because she saw how much it means to her just to plan it, and that way Alex can do something for Izz, because he really wasn't there for her like he should have been.
Plus, the epi is called "What A Difference A Day Makes", so we're heading for a MerDer wedding, and all of a sudden, in one day, we get the big twist, and it's Izzie and Alex's wedding.
I don't know, it's just my opinion. We will know for sure in 2 weeks.

i agree with both anika and MerDer fan 4ever. I think mer is going to give way for izzie and alex's wedding. Izzie has been planning for merder's, but what she plans is actually what she would really want in her own wedding. It seems like her plans doesn't fit mer. Mer wants a simple wedding, i bet it will be something uncommon, not that grand, but really unique. And i do think it will happen this season, but not as we expect it to be..
