Isaiah Washington is oh so hot. I just love his cleft chin. ;) Burke Backer, most of the things you've written made me feel better, thank you very much. I'm just really worried about what could happen to Burke and Cristina before they get married. I mean, look at all the things our favorite couple has gone through before they got engaged. You're right, fighting is okay as long as they show them making up after. And yes, Shonda might be invested in Bang. I'd like to think that Bang is special to Shonda. They're the longest-running couple in the show, and they're the only pair that has no third party involved. i.e. Meredith&Derek - Addison, Finn, Mark; Izzie&Alex - Denny, Olivia, Adisson; George&Callie - Meredith, Olivia, Mark; Adisson&Mark - Derek, Alex, Callie; Alex&Addison - Izzie, Olivia, Mark, Derek Chief&Adele - Ellis; Ellis&Thatcher - Chief Did I leave anyone out? It's like they're exclusive for each other. I remember the syph line scene where Burke said to Cristina: "There's no one else." Aww, I love that scene! What I'm really trying to say is that I think there's no way Burke and Cristina will not get married at the end of all these. I believe that the two of them will have a happily-ever-after life ahead of them. :)

hey burke backer and rose and the others. i miss you guys too....i hate that everyone has taken sides lately....i guess i am trying to remain neutral...what i said about being disappointed in IW at the GG was my own opinion but i never called him names or wanted him to be fired. I don't come on this thread very much because i don't analyze burktinas relationship as much as you guys. but i love talking to you on all the other threads...i just think it is good that you guys have a thread just for you guys....Burke Backer i hate that you and hot4dempsey are fighting....you are so insightful about burktina and you are intense and i think that it is hard for some others to understand....and others get a testy because they don't understand....i just want us all to be civil...maybe we all take things too seriously sometimes...I for one just want to put my faith in shonda and trust that she will continue to bring us great tv no matter what happens.

Hi Rose, I love that scene from Season one in the oncall room, too. It was sweet because you can tell that Burke wants this to be a relationship. He isn't comfortable with it being all about sex. He is falling in love with her. That's why he asks what are we doing here. She, on the other hand, hasn't thought about it like that quite yet. She is perfectly content to have it be just a hot affair. It is a struggle they will continue to have until she realizes that she loves him, too. I don't think she really understands that until the bomb episodes and she comes so close to losing him. I was thinking of you on Sunday night when I watched this episode again and wondered if you were watching. Those were kind of happy Bang episodes as they were just figuring each other out and everything was new for them.

Hi Rose, you are so observant. Now that you mention it, that is just exactly how he smiles. Like he is not sure he has permission. That reminds me of the episode in the car after Thanksgiving dinner when she tells him about removing the foreign object from the guys esophogus. I love that smile that just kind of slowly spreads across his face. I agree with you that the thing that keeps him from being arrogant and makes him likeable to me is the fact that he is unsure when he's with her. There is a scene coming up when he asks her on a date and she shoots him down and it is so painful to watch. But you can see it on his face that he isn't sure she will say yes. He is just hopeful. This scene comes after she finds out she is pregnant and before he knows.

Hi Sky, I think the spoiler says they are going to have a big blow up over announcing the engagement. I think Cristina wiill be upset if something happens to Meredith so that she can't tell her about the engagement and everyone else finds out because Burke told Derek. They may have an argument about that, but I don't believe they will break up. Not permanently. They have been through too much with their love still strong to break up over that.

Hi Iloveyouhateyou_MTC, I love the syph scene too. Thanks for the Coffee still rules, LOL, but I love the syph scene. It was so cute when they both realized that they were exclusive. Loved it.

Hi Purplemerder! It's good to hear from you. I am sorry that hot4dempsey is so angry, too, and also sorry to have taken the bait. I am just tired of her same old story. I wish she would focus her venom on someone else for a change other than Isaiah. If she wants to direct it towards me, that's okay. I have strong shoulders. I just want her to get off of his case. It is too much for too long. I know you have always counselled me not to respond to the nasty comments, but the more he is attacked the more I feel like I have to defend him. Just when it feels like it is dying down again, something happens to bring the hatefulness out again. Now it is a death in a major character. I don't believe Meredith will be gone or more than a few minutes. So who is going to die and have it stick? My money is still on Ellis. The actress is just too good to be on GA in a bit part. Any way, I am sorry for discomfort on the other thread.

Hi BB! I wouldn't miss Sunday night GA any more than Thursday night! The thing that surprised me when I first started watching Grey's, is that the two men (Burke and Derek)are the ones pursuing the women, and the women are not initally interested in a relationship. That to me is the opposite of how men & women typically are, and I found it refreshing. I thank Shonda for that and for creating such strong women on GA. I find it really charming that Burke is uncomfortable with a purely physical thing with Cristina--he seems bewildered about that right from the start. He tries to keep his position of superiority when he asks her about it, and finds out to his surprise that he cannot pin this woman down in any way shape or form. Just as Gloria described it, she is taking him where he has never been before. Cristina initially seems fine with not wanting anything from each other, obviously because up to that point the pursuit of her career has been the entire focus of her life. It makes her seem a bit harsh in the first season, I am glad she has become more human by season 3.
