    Maybe by 'union' he meant just engagement. And probably the wedding will be in the next season and someone else gets married by the end of this season. Idk,but I am so excited ,I want a MERDER wedding =D Patrick and Ellen make an awesome tv couple.

    When I watched the interview and he coyly referred to a 'union', I thought it meant a McBaby too. I think the wedding will be an Alex/Izzie one, especially with Izzy being so sick and never getting to marry Denny, I think that Izzy and Alex will be decide to get married in case the worst does happen. I have always thought a baby would come before marriage for MerDer...no good reason really, just a feeling.

    Also, I think the whole "crappy babies" thing a few episodes ago opened the door for a pregnancy. If they had just had Mer fall pregnant accidentally without that it would have been weird for her to just be okay with it- they needed to show she has grown and is thinking of having a family with Derek for the pregnancy storyline to kind of flow. Like I think she will freak out about her potential mothering skills and stuff, but she won't be freaking out about the actual idea if you know what I mean?
