     No, sorry i meant Richard not Thatcher. I was refering to how Addison cheated on Derek, which made him amad at Addison so he turned to Meredith. Adele didn't do anything for Richard to cheat on him. Sorry about the mistake.

     Ok, but if you look back, there are some similarities, for instance: Meredith asked Derek to pick her and he didn't, so he chose to stay with the one who cheated on him. Ellis left her husband (she cheated on Thatcher becuase she and Richard were having an affair) and Richard didn't leave her wife. So, there are many similarities, just the characters change. On both sides, women were the cheaters (Addison and Ellis). Ellis cheated on her husband!

     The thing is that Meredith is kinda becoming victim of what happened with her mother's affair. I mean, she may fall in a self fear of having the same bad luck her mother had, you know, not getting along with the dreamy relationship.
