Worst Relationship and why?

I think Alex and Izzie make a great couple. I don't know how you can't see the chemistry. Yes, Alex has had some serious emotional problems but lets not forget Izzie has had plenty of emotional problems too, cutting an LVAD wire being one of them. I will excuse her for the strange Denny-Ghost sex because of the cancer but in my opinion they go perfectly together because they understand each other and each others problems. George and Izzie was just weird the whole thing just made me uncomfortable. It was too brotherly-sisterly (Not cool). I did, however, really admire the relationship that George and Izzie had presex. It was real (them being best friends) and then they almost ruint it on a short lived awkward affair. Yes, they loved each other but they weren't in love with each other.

Derek and Rose- She was so McRebound!! I hated that candy nurse so much, she was an idiot to think that Derek and Meredith were really over!! She was a freaking nurse.. she heard the gossip more than anyone! One of the worst couple in tv!!
Callie and Hahn- I hated Hahn with passion. She was bitchy, rude and I am so glad she is gone
!!Alex and Ava/Rebecca- She was a freaking insaine!!

EVERYONE HATES DEREK AND ROSE
YUCKKKKKK, WORST COUPLE IN THE HISTORY ON T.V. WHEN SHONDA CREATED ROSE SHE WAS SO DRUNK AND NOT THINKING STRAIGHT LOOOL. TO HAD A CANDY HORSEY NURSE DATING MEREDITH 'S MCDREAMY. AND WITH THE I LOVE YOU THING AFTER A DATE SERIOUSLY. AND GOING INSANE AND BITCHY AFTER HE BREAK UP WITH HER. LIKE SHE WASN'T WAITING FOR IT. WHAT DID SHE THINK THAT HE WOULD DRIVE HER TO THE SUNSET AND LIVE HAPPILY AFTER IN A HORSE STABLE LOL.
THANK GOD SHE IS GONE..

Laura, a lot of us don't see any chemistry with Alex and izzie. Chemistry is subjective.
They understand each other. Is that why she dumped him with a note? is that why he yelled at her for not takling the right decision when she was dying? No he doesn't understand her, never has. He loves her but he never understood her or even seemed to like her.
George understood her which is why he is the one who got through to her about her treatment, why he is the one who was the first to know what was wrong with her when she was sick, why he, not Alex was her eprson.
You don't see how so many people hate Alex and Izzie and don't see their chemistry? Well I don't see how anyone cannot see the chemistry George and izzie had. Rewatch that elevator kiss. There is nothing brother and sister about that kiss at all. It's desire and love, true desire. Nothing sibling-like there.
On the other hand, I think Izzie acts like Alex's mom not his wife. He starts bawling every single time he doesn't get his way with her and she consoles him like a kid. They are not equals like George and Izzie were.
And Izzie told George she not only loved him, she was IN LOVE with him. Izzie acted way more in love with George than she ever did with Alex, and Katie and TR played it this way.
The fact that Shonda cowered to the minority of overvocal haters doesn't mean this wasn't initially written as a love story.
This is not a discussion therad. Every couple should be able to tell what couple they hate without getting lectures about it, and I hate Alex and Izzie more than any couple in TV.
They are dysfunctional, sick and boring and I can tell you in real life. I know a lot more people who hate this couple than loevs them.

For me, the worst relationship was George and Izzie. It was like the creators wanted to do something shocking, that no one was expecting, but it didn't work out well. First of all, it ruined their friendship, and proved that it is better for the show if some relationship stay platonic, and not everyone has to date, just because they're currently single. And second of all, it was plain weird, sibling-like. As far as I'm concerned Gizzie had no chemistry whatsoever. I find it strange, that Gizzie fans keep on writing about their wonderful chemistry while it was clearly stated in the show, that lack of chemistry was their main problem. It was the reason they broke up, right? They never had good sex, apart from the first drunken one, they felt a bit embarassed during intimate moments. The characters themselves said, there was no chemistry! I don't really see why people think otherwise.

The only reason we had the abd chemistry thing was because Shonda got scared of the haters and didn't know how to end them. But even then, she said it wasn't the bad chemistry, it was the bad timing. Remember that scene? Plus Shonda said it was the guilt and the circumstances, not their chem istry.
I don't carewhat Shonda or anyone says either. I don't have to be told like a sheep weho has chemistry or not. I see it with my own eyes, and those two had more chemistry just looking at each other than some couples do kissing or having sex.
They weren't drunk at alll when they had that kiss in the elvator and that kiss was the hottest thing I have ever seen. It wasn't ackward or uncomfortable. Izzie and Georgewere totally lost in each other. Izzie went all pink with the passion of it, and when they broke that kiss, it was obvious they wanted to go on forever.
Shonda made a huge mistake. She thought the haters were the majority just because they spoke louder, but they weren't. The ratimgs didn't go down when Gizzie was together but they went down when they broke up, a lot.
The characters never said they had no chemistry. They clear;y said it had nothing to do with their chemistry, and all to do with the timing. So please go back and rewatch scenes before saying things that never happened.
George and Izzie were the hottest couple on the show, the most real and the most magical. That is why so many people still love them so much.
Alex and Izzie are by far the worst couple on the show, like many people have mentioned here. They are boring as hell. They have zero chemistry. Izzie feels more like his mother. They ahve a sick and abusive relationship. They treat each other like crap and they have zero chemistry. tHEIR KISSES MAKE ME VOMIT. Izzie and George's near kisses on the hall were more hot. Rememebr that? Them flirting in the hall? That also was not ackward. Theywere basically devouring each other with their eyes. They were the best couple, and Shonda was an idiot to drop them. The AI fans sure aren't bringing in the ratings, arethey?

Oh and noone was expecting George and Izzie? In season 1, they asked people what couple they wanted and 75% said Gizzie. Everyone of my friends were rooting for those two since day one and in season 3, tons of people could see them coming.

i agree with cacherr1 about the Mark and Callie thing, see what i think is that the reason that they have such a good friendship the reason they can be so close to each other the way they are is because they know that they are only friends because i think if they felt something more for each other it would be awkward for them to date other people and any other relationship of theirs would seem forced and while i dont really have an opinion on him and lexie they didnt seem forced and Callie and Arizona are no where near forced, them and Meredith and Derek and by far the healthiest relationships on the show

My top five:
1) Derek and Rose - I know why it had to happen but it was just painful to watch. And it doesn't help that Rose is the freaking little girl from The Orphan - one minute she's like "look at my wide eyes" and the next she's like "I'm going to stab you with a scalpel and I'm pregnant - HAHA SIKE!" The worst part is everyone knew it was all wrong except for Rose.
2) Burke and Cristina - Um, they were *this* shy of not being a couple. He was constantly making her do things she was uncomfortable with and she was constantly belittling his efforts to be a boyfriend. I was really surprised that they made it past the engagement. I fully expected Cristina to break it off, or even not say "yes" in the first place.
3) Callie and Erica - They never seemed more than friends to me. Even when they started sleeping together, it just seemed like they were friends experimenting with being lesbians. The Callie/Arizona relationship is much more believable.
4) George and Izzie - I love George and Izzie as friends, really I do. But it just felt all wrong to me at the time, especially since the first time they hooked up they were drunk. And cheating. When they're finally free of marital obligations and booze, the sex is bad. Personally, I think it was just one of those "forbidden love affair" things that, once all the intrigue and taboo was removed, was really nothing.
5) George and Callie - George just used Callie to get over Meredith and his dad, which is sad but true. And it's a shame because you knew Callie was so into him. But she's better as a lesbian/bisexual anyway.
Honorable mention goes to Meredith and George because I don't consider them a relationship, just a random hookup. George knew she wasn't interested - granted he didn't know she was really freaking vulnerable right then, either, but he knew it wasn't right and he went ahead anyway.
Wow, George makes this list a lot. But I think he and Lexie could've been cute.

Lexie: Mark, I'm dying. Please tell Meredith I love her and that she is a good sister.
