The character, Preston Burke, need to return to Grey's Anatomy. I haven't watched the program since a couple episodes after he left. I have missed him, and his character which is what kept me coming back for more. Grey's Anatomy has not been the same. I believe things have cooled off and died down in terms of the controversy over the slur made, and everyone deserves forgiveness. Let by gones be by gones, and salvage what is left of the show. I strongly believe the ratings will skyrocket when Dr. Preston Burke returns. I even thought of bringing in a new actor to replace Isaiah Washington, but I don't think that will be the answer. Isaiah Washington played that role like no one else can play it, and bringing him back will be the hit!

Lol. I understand people have different characters, but you not watching Grey's Anatomy simply because he left shows that you have no concern for the show. It is actually pretty amazing, the storylines the characters. Bringing back a homophobic actor will only send the message that it's okay to be such a way to society. He made a huge mistake. He wasn't that great. Derek, the Chief, Mark, Owen are better than Burke ever was. Watch the show and see if you feel the same way. He's not ever coming back.

I have some interesting trivia for you, Paul Adelstein who plays Cooper Freedman in Private Practice was orginally cast as Dr Preston Burke, but Paul was busy with other things and couldn't play Burke at the time. Honestly Isaiah Washington played Burke brilliantly. As long as Dr Teddy Altman is an attending Cardiothorasic surgeon, they don't need Burke competing with Teddy and Cristina.

I know it's never going to happen but it would make for some great TV if Burke where to shop up at Seattle Grace again trying to get Cristina back. I think giving Owen some competition would serve him right after all the shit we've had to put up with him this season and is "feelings" for Teddy. Now that TR and Heigl are both gone there would less conflict with him on the set and he wouldnt have to return full time, even a guest apperance would be awesome. I know alot of fans felt like Cristina and Burkes break up was rushed and poorly written and it would be great to get some closure with them.

although i agree that everyone deserves forgiveness and such i dont think there would be any less conflict because he is still going to be homophobic and even though its just acting and they are just characters there is the Callie and Arizona storyline which im sure he probably isnt too happy with or comfortable with.
Yeah Grey's isnt great with closure... Cristina and burke, Callie and Hahn, Alex and Izzie.

I agree. Bring back Burke!! Christina and Burke had amazaing chemistry and enjoyed them as a couple. Owen & Christina just don't cut it. The chemistry is not there. As far as the controversy, everyone does deserve forgiveness and everyone needs to move on and forgive as well. No one is perfect and people act like he killed someone. Get over it ...move on. Christina is still in luv with Burke and bringing him back will also make it an interesting storyline between owen/burke & christina. In the end, Burke and Christina belong together!

yes, bring Dr. Burke back to Seatle Grace. He and Christina had such strong chemestry between them one could cut it with a knife. Their relationship was so interesting to watch, so serious yet so playful at times. also the relationship he had with Derrick was amusing to me. They respected each other yet Burke's behaviour towards Derrick seemed as though he felt himself superior to Derrick...and Derrick would just play along. i miss Preston Burke
