Reply to PostA Possible Proposal...

So I have been playing over in my mind all these different ways that the merder proposal could take place because a lot of things don't match up. Like in the CTV promo derek ask mer in the trailer it looks like and he has not even shaved...no elevator. However we know he shaves at some point because in the pictures from Elevator Love Letter when he is talking to Hunt before he gets a CT he is clean shaven. Also we have been told that it will be third times the charm for derek and proposing. SOOO what if Derek ask Mer at the beginning of the episode and he says I need you to say yes because it will give him the boost he needs to go back to the OR and Mer doesn't say no but says something like you don't need me to say yes because you have a gift or we need to focus on Izzie...whatever. Then during the episode Derek does the surgery and is successful and happy and back to being derek, he shaves, dresses up, and then meets mer in the elevator and does it properly for the "third" time! For something that we have been waiting for for 5 years I can't see Shonda letting it happen with Derek looking like a mountain man...a damn sexy mountain man...but still a mountain man...
What do you think!? I can't wait any longer! And there is going to be a major gap between Thursday and the next episode!

I don't know but, my theory is what if "Elevator" really means like MerDer and love and not actually "The proposal is going to happen in the Elevator"...

See I don't know either...I have thought the same thing. Then Shonda said something along the lines of true greys fan know how we feel about elevators and what elevators mean to Grey's Anatomy and it really sounded like it was going to be on the elevator.. I just don't see her writing a proposal that doesn't take place somewhere significant to MerDer...as in the elevator, joes, ferry boat, house of candles...

omg you seriously think they would have him propose looking like that (i mean don't get me wrong he is totally hott still) but seriously...and technically he hasn't asked her yet (has he?) I mean yea he did the whole thing before Addie showed up but I wouldn't think that would count?? Idk...I can't wait and I will jump up and down like a freakin lunatick when it happens!!

that was truly amazing...when we first were told that there was a possibility of it happening in an elevator i was like seriously what is he going to do get down on one knee on their way down to go home?? how stupid is that....but wow, i was totally and utterly speechless...the scans and patient charts, it was just truly amazing, it was like a little MerDer timeline...it was so them you kno...just seriously the best idea any of the writer's could have come up with!!! That made the wait worth it, that's for sure and for it to be to the date exactly when they met (show premiered) was planned wonderfully!!!
