EVERYONE NEEDS TO WRITE INTO GREYS AND LET THIS KNWO THIS IS NOT COOL!! Let them know Brooke needs to be onthe show again. THey could of ended the erica/callie relationship they didnt have to fire her...this is some bullshit!

Is it possible that there is something more here? Something we the viewers know nothing about? It's just crazy to think ABC would demand Brooke be fired just because the writers wrote a story arc that led to her being a lesbian. Seems like they would just encourage the writers to drop that story line. I can't help but wonder if there was something behind the scenes, a fight or something that has happened that we the viewers know nothing about. Maybe Shonda and the other higher ups did not want this "fight/issue" to be the ruin of Brooke as the IW/TR fight was the ruin of IW. I don't know. Just my 2 cents. It just seems so out of the blue.

IT is SO SO SO SO sad to think that Brooke Smith's last episode is tonight and her leaving isn't even a proper goodgbye. I'll be looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts later today when the episode has been shown for you guys.
I hope there are some good final Callie/Erica scenes for her last ep and after last week.

modiner - you kinda have a point.. after all that happened with Isaac.. it's kinda strange that they would kick her off the show because of the gay thing on TV.. even because from what I'm hearing they will put another lesbian character on the show.. i just hope they wont try to make Callie fall for another girl.. 'cause come on.. she wasn't really into it with Erica.. so with any other girl she wont be into it either.. it just wouldn't make much sense..

Wow, just last week I was so grateful to the show because my parents got to see Brooke's beautiful "seeing the leaves" performance. They don't understand my sexuality and this show was going to maybe help change that. It really sucks that Brooke Smith is fired and I will not watch any more episodes of this cowardly, spiraling downwards show! I don't buy the explanation, that abc execs ordered the firing. Isn't Brothers and Sisters an abc show that features a homosexual relationship? Up yours Rhonda Shimes and all involved with this stupid stupid decision.

hey everybody. i am still following the reactions to the firing although i have stopped watching the show. i acknowldge there might be more to it than we as viewers know, but i thought ABC needed to hear my opinion all the same. i went to the youtube link, and then wrote to ABC. i thought you all might be interested in what i said(they should give us more than 500 words!!) anyhoo--
I have been a huge fan of Grey's Anatomy since the beginning, and I loved the addition of a same-sex story line between Erica and Callie (Brooke Smith and Sara Ramirez) at the end of the fourth season. I was stunned and disappointed when I heard that Brooke Smith was fired, and I can only presume it is because of her relationship on the show. I am hurt that there is still this much predujice around (Ugly Betty) and you have lost me as a viewer of this once excellent show.
