so, it sounds like it's true that T.R. is leaving, so what do you think?? when will we see the last of o'malley? why will he leave??

I always hate when some of the caracters leave the show. But, George was so different than before. However, I will mis him.

When the story line was written that had him failing his resident exam, he was essentially separated from the original group and was no longer one of them. After that period of separation the writers seem to be having trouble reintegrating him back into the group. The whole thing seems awkward now.

Yes, it does seem a bit awkward, but it doesn't make sense as to why? Even though he remained an intern he was still quite in the mix as the Chief's personal intern AND it's not as though he completely fit right in with the interns, either. The writers could write him right back in with the residents, the original 5, they just choose not to. Just like they choose not to write him interacting with his BEST FRIEND. I have never said much in my posts about Shonda and the Gizzie fans/Gizzie haters influence, but I really do think that Shonda went way too extreme in her desire to appease the Gizzie haters. Not only did she choose to suddenly have the writers give them a "chemistry problem", but she went so far to the extreme that she decided to act like they were never friends. I believe all was creator's and writers' choice and I believe the TR wants to act, and I can see why he's been dissatisfied (if that rumor is indeed true). I also believe that George is essential to the show. I hope that ABC / Shonda and TR can work this out, so that TR will have incentive to stay and we can have MORE GEORGE!!!

It's disappointing but if T.R isn't happy there's no point in him continuing. :( He could always be written out easily by transferring him to Mercy West
I just wish Grey's became "normal" and realistic again... without ridiculous storylines.

I know a lot of people love him, but George really annoys me. He just really seems out of place and wimpy. I used to like him, but the way the writers have made him out to be, just annoys me. It got really bad for me after they had him NOT recognize that Lexie liked him. It was like, how dumb could you write him to be? I can see why he'd want to leave the show. And with the writing for him the way it's been I won't miss him.....Sorry T.R.....Get out before they make you any worse!
I love all the other storylines though!!!! Even dead Denny.

he doesnt even get real on screen time! we saw him like two times this episode and what 1line?? seriously??

I will be very dissapointed if T.R. really does leave the show. I thought he was back for about 2 seconds when they had them over at Mer's cleaning her house for Mrs Shepard's arrival, then ... nothing.
His character was starting to show some growth there for awhile but he was still George.
I'd love to see them work things out for him and bring him back for real. I agree he's a vital part of the cast. Grey's just wouldn't be the same without him.
Come on writers! Bring back George!!

I love the season 1 and 2 George. I do see why T.R. wants to leave, though. Now we only seen him like, what? Maybe 4 times this season? I agree with TerriblyAddictingTo George should have gotten together with Lexie, they'd be way better the Slexie. Bring George back!!!
