    it is long past the time to let the cat out of the bag that meredith is the chiefs daugther,that is why thatcher had nothing to do with meredith he felt that she was not his .no one has said when ellis and richard met it is just stated that they were still having the affair when meredith was little .

    It has been stated .In the FAQ on the old ABC board

    Meredith was born before Ellis started working at SGH .Ellis and Thatcher were married 7 years before the affair .Thatcher was Mer's main caregiver up till the point that Ellis threw him out (what he did afterwards showed a complete lack of cojones)but he did not have nothing to do with her before the break-up and that has been stated in the show.

     

    The affair started in Year 3 of Ellis and Richard's residency .So unless Mer was force grown like KyleXY or there is a breach in the Space Time Continuim that allowed Richard to impregnate Ellis after Med school and before he met her,Mer is Thatchers daughter.

    Plus what would be the odds on Mer being the exact match for Thatcher to allow the liver transplant .

    Why is it that there some people that keep thinking that Richard is Meredith father. Didn't the fact that Meredith donate a piece of her liver to Thatcher, eliminates the theory of Meredith being Richard's daughter.

    I have no idea. It never struck to me that was possible or that they had a love child.

    I guess more people want drama for Mer...

    Plus mere would be black or have a very dark skin tone and have like black hair!!!!!
