Lexie is a whiney little annoying child. She could never hold up being the star. This is the MerDer happy ending now. Shonda knows better than to REALLY let down the many many MerDer fans.

no way is this true.
this is just an extreme extension of the theory that some fans have touched upon at times that maybe this whole season has just been a dream? Come on! I know Shonda did say that all you need to know about S5 is in "dream a little dream of me" but there is just NO way it's all a dream. That's crazy. And Shonda can be unpredictable at times, but killing of Der? and ruining MerDer? Given her history of being totally spooked by Gizzie hater fans in the past, I don't think she'd risk the wrath (and affect on ratings) of that maneuver.
Please 2Anthonly4-- reveal your source and give some viable back-up info before giving every fan that doesn't already have TR-and-KH-Leaving-Rumors induced ulcers even MORE ulcers. C'Mon. Love the show PLEASE!

thats crazy, shonda isnt stupid, there is no way she would kill mcdreamy and have mer leave (even temporarily) wayy too many people would stop watching if that happened.

Hi!!! I just want to say... I have no idea if this is true and I don't want it to be true either, I like Derek and although I love Lexie, I don't love her nearly as much as Mer!!!
My source is completely, unreliable. A friend told me they read it online somewhere but they don't even know the name of the website, for all I know, she could have been reading fan fiction.
But it could make sense, she said it happens at a season finale and the following season takes place 3 years later (which would give an out for actors that might want to leave).
Once again, I don't think or want it to be true, I just posted this forum to find out if anybody heard it.
P.S Sorry if I gave anyone ulcers.

It really doesn't make any sense. The only way they could EVER do this is if Shonda
1. died and a monkey took over as writer
2. wanted to get the show off the air
