   Maybe Meredith has a follow up exam after the miscarriage to make sure everything is ok, or maybe it's one of the other girls going in for a check up, we all need our 2 yearly pap smear.

   It has got to be about her miscarriage.  The only 2 other significant OB/GYN's on the show were Nancy (Derek's sister) and Addison.  It makes perfect sense!  I am 90% this is why.  I would bet my life on it =).

   Since the OB redsident will be on in the premeire and derek doesnt know about the miscarrage yet maybe mer is pregnant agin and is going to the ob resident for the check up and is asked if this is her first pregnecy and then that is when derek finds out about the miscarrage!

   I think Mer has a follow up exame after the miscarriage, and that´s when we discover that she hasn´t told Der yet... Maybe the OB Resident asks her how she and her husband are dealing with the loss, and she says he doesn´t know about it. Yet.

   There are two sides with OB residents. The first is on 701, which I assume is Meredith's check up and the other one is 704, which included a man (Derek), so I assume that by then Meredith has told him and they're getting tests for them to start trying.

   Yep. I think they are both related to Meredith. The first one 7x01 Mer will go with Cris and the 7x04 she will go with Derek for check up etc..

    @JDC,

    The OB resident receives the tests results and tell Sarah and Danny (supposedly MerDer) that they have some things to discuss and starts what seems to be a "serious conversation".

    That's about it. :)
