Predictions for the Season 7

     Don't get caught up in the timeline, LOL. The most safe assumption now is that they'll be entering their fourth year of residency, so a full three years have gone through (the SF seemed to have taken place in July - Richard said he had been sober for 6 months and was outed as Chief in Feb.).

     From Fancast (SPOILER!), it seems that S7 will start with a time jump, enough for the hospital to be in function again, according to the sides.

      

     Derek's and Meredith's sisters is the main reason why I want them to have a boy first. Too many girls! The world needs more McDreamy! I want to see Derek have the father/son dynamic that he missed with his dad. It's why I also want a girl later for them, so Mer can do the same with her little girl.

     yeah, it would be nice for derek to share father/son activities that he missed out on. that would make a lot more sense to the story. a lot better. cant wait til 09~23~10!!! but it sucks that the premiere is only 1 hour long instead of 2. 2 hours feels more appropriate. oh well

     Look at it this way: more episodes! Had the SP been two hours long, maybe we wouldn't get another episode the following week but until after. The breaks will be less.

     I would love for them to have a boy but Bailey had a boy. So maybe they want to change things by wanting Mer to deal with the mother/daughter dynamic. I am on board with the twins idea though.

     I love Owen and Cristina!  The first half of season 6 was troubling for, both, me and my couple.  Now that Owen has proven to Cristina that she's his number 1 (with a bullet), and Cristina knows, for sure, that she's a bad-assed, hardcore, surgeon, maybe Shonda will let them move in together and have some happiness and fun, for a minute.  Teddy and Mark should hook up, and Alex and Lexie should hook up, too.  I'm pulling for Callie and Arizona to work things out, as well.  Bailey and Ben, definitely, need to heat up their relationship.  They would be good together.  Bailey requires a strong, man with a gentle soul and I think that's Ben.  Derek and Meredith have to get past the loss of their baby and get back to being our MerDer again.  Jackson and Cristina should become good, friends, not lovers.  Maybe, he can hang out with April, and they can comfort each other over (Derek and Cristina.  Last, but, not, least, the king (I mean chief) should reclaim his throne- like- he took back his hospital.  I was thrilled by the finale, and it left me eager for season 7.  Great job!!!

     i'm thinking that it will start with a time jump of maybe a few months. Probably around the time mer and the rest are starting their fourth year of residency (which i'm pretty sure means picking their specialties)

     I think they'll do this because they wont want the whole season centered around the finale of season 6 this lets us see how the problems are dealt with without seeing it straight after.

     • I think Mer will tell Derek abou her miscarriage at the end of the premiere after he's recovered.
     • Owen and Christina will have to start fresh with some major trust issues for Christina.
     • I think Lexie will stay with Alex through his recovery only  for him to tell her they can't work meaning she runs back to Mark. ( i'm thinking Alex will either break her heart and then mark and her won't start their relationship again till later or there will be a sweet moment when he says he knows she's meant to be with mark and he isn't over izzy.)

     )
