If any of you would like to know, the Season Premiere will be entitled "Brand New Eyes" and directed by Krista Vernoff. Just thought I would share this information with all of you Addicted to Grey's Spoilers Fans.

Actually, there are about 2 months till the season premiere, it's September 24th.
"Brand New Eyes", I guess it will be something about George dying and Izzie surviving, and she is looking on life differently, and so are they friends, when they realize George died. We saw a part of it in the finale, in Mer's speech at the end, and in her behaviour, "tell the persons you love how much you love them while they can hear you", it's "Now or Never".
So, I think it will continue, characters realising that life is short and everything that happend (to be more precise, we know is gonna happen) makes them to look differently on life. And i'm pretty convinced Izzie will survive.

According to the new abc.com beta, the character bios for Bailey and Torres have their positions as attendings, so I'm thinking the season 6 premiere is fast-tracked to around or after July since the Chief said that July was when Bailey's GS-residency ends and when she would be promoted to a GS-attending.
Also, since an Ortho-residency is also 5 years long, Callie may have been promoted to attending as well since it would seem that there were in the same class-year but different residencies (GS for Bailey and Ortho Surg for Torres).

Ace, thanks for the info, I didn't know that. But, there was an article right here on the Insider where they say it will continue where we left off, with Izzie flatlining and them losing George. Hm, now I don't know what to think.
Maybe the epi will start like this, but then the George/Izzie mystery (which we all know how is going to end) resolves, and we go month or two into the future... I wonder what month was in GA at the end of last season? They never say that, but it should be around July, couple of months from July, when we consider the fact that at the beginning of the season it was really cold, icy and snowy, one of the winter months.
Hey, now I realize there wasn't a Christmas at all this year, there was only one in season 2...

Well time works differently in GA. In the season 5 premiere, the Chief stated that the 2nd-year residents were already halfway through their 2nd year. So perhaps season 5 finale was on the cusp of July which would satisfy the completion of the residents' 2nd year and Bailey and Torres' 5th year and thus elevating them to attending-level.

Yeah, you're right, now I remember he yelled at Mer for losing the limo driver (although it wasn't her fault, the man was a ticking bomb), and he said that (in the season premiere, like you said).
I'd love to see both Bailey and Callie as the attendings, I'd especially like to see Bailey's interaction with McDreamy, now that they are officially on the same level (although, as one of the interns said, Bailey is spiritually over everyone's head) :)

It'd be cool to see Torres and Bailey in the navy blue scrubs. They deserve it. But if Bailey is promoted to an attending, she can no longer be Chief Resident. A General Surgery residency lasts between five to seven years, so there is no automatic promotion to attending after the fifth year, so to get a new Chief Resident, maybe Syndey will be in her 6th year of GS-residency and succeed Bailey as the new Chief Resident. Otherwise, they would have to introduce a new 5th year resident and make them Chief Resident.

Yeah, it would be nice to see them in navy blue scrubs. They totally deserved it.
If Sydney gets back, I'll go crazy, she is really going on my nerves. Remember when she once came to the clinic and she started with her annoying voice "Hey, hello, hiiii!", and she said to Bailey "I'll fight you, I roar, grrr" and Bailey was like "I bite", that was great scene.
Well, I guess all we can do is wait. Ahh, just 2 more months!
