   I think its excellent that Thatcher is coming back. Jeff Perry is an amzing actor & I really like what he does with the character. I think its perfect timing because Lexie & Mark are in a relationship and Mer & Der... well they are hopefully getting a start to their happy ending. Anyways to see him come back after the last time we saw him drunk off his behind. I think it will be an interesting dynamic to see revisited.

   Thatcher will probably be in the season finale because of the MerDer wedding.  It will definitely put a swing on things.

   I'm glad he's arriving.  Meredith needs him, she needs her father.

   I'm glad they are bringing Thatcher back- I think that was left kind of abruptly and needs to be dealt with (for both Lexie and Mer) but I disagree that Meredith needs a father and needs him in her life. I think he is a negative in her life. Yes, she needs to make peace with the whole thing but she has a family now (Derek, Lexie, Cristina, Izzy, Alex, George...) and Thatcher is not her family- he has proved that time and time again. Maybe I am biased as a child of a single father, but I don't believe that blood is always thicker than water and I don't think someone should be in your life just because they are related to you.
