They are trying to force the new characters on us !!!!!

    You know, to me it all comes down to the writing of the new characters. Some of them can have all the purpose in the world to be there but if not written right, they can end up on the wrong side.

    I mean, they are trying so hard to make these new characters so likable that they fail and my biggest peeve is that while the writers do that, I see less and less of Derek, Mer, Cristina, Bailey 2.0 (this is not he same Bailey I know), and Alex. If the new characters were written with the supporting role they were meant to, I guess I'd be fine with some of them.

    IF the writing is so tough for 14 characters, simple solution is to get rid of some. I don't know why are they willing to sacrifice good writing for 10 characters, for example, to keep 14 characters, which some are not exactly needed. I feel there's a limit to respect.

    If this is the trend, I do hope that they end up on S8. I know that the quality episodes' boat shipped a while ago, it doesn't give an excuse for the current mess they are doing.

    You guys should be more open-minded to April and Jackson.  We haven't really gotten to see their characters yet, but doesn't April remind you of a female George?  I hated this at first but now I'm fine with it.  The only thing I 'don't' like is her past attraction to Derek.  What if she walks in on them, or just him...  It would never be the end of it.

    Actually, I disliked April since her intro in Invasion. She was annoying since then, IMO (I cheered when Richard fired her). And still is pointless. She can find the cure for cancer, I'll still hate her.

    I'm giving Jackson a chance because his addition seems more logical plus he has been written really great. It matches the personalities of the Fab 3. I like him.

    Now that you mention that April is like a female George, then it makes sense that Shonda repeated the story of George's crush on Meredith with April having a crush on Derek and he didn't even noticed.

    If April is the female George, then April walking out just when Mr. Clark was lowering his gun and spooking him to the point that Clark shot Derek, that scene would be the equivalent of  George and Meredith having sex and turning into a disaster. Let us remember that after Georg and Meredith had sex the crush that George had on Meredith end it. So it would make sense that April's crush on Derek is over, because her crush turned into a disaster with a gun shot, just like Georger crush on Meredith.

    I wasn't sure about jackson at first but after the scenes when he is assisting in surgeries with christin and involved in the conversation about love vs. surgery i've really liked him and i think he'll be an interesting addition. April on the otherhand still seriously annoys be, especially in invasion were she's horrible to lexi and in the finale when she gets derek shot. I'd never really thought that she was the female george but thinking about it your right! She might grow on me...but i doubt it!
