You could be a great surgeon and doctor and be crappy Chief resident. Callie is one of the best surgeon in her field and she was a crappy Chief resident.

Good point madworld. April was Derek's secretary for a while...ha, if she wins Chief Resident, she'll be a joke.

I wish for Alex. Plus, he needs it for his Peds fellowship, so I hope he gets it.

April - uhhhh hell no....she got fired, was dereks secretary and well just no

Jackson - has been screwing up too much lately plus i dont think a mercy wester will get it

cristina - would have been my obvious guess to begin with but she may not due to her ptsd....bailey didnt get it cuz the chief didnt want to stress her out and xtina def doesnt need more stress

meredith - solid contender and has a shot but i dont think that they are going to pick her

alex - has a good chance with his awesome work in peds and if hes going to be working with derek on the clinical trial...hmmmm it sounds like big things are happening for our favcorite evil spawn

So basically im going to go with alex as my choice but meredith would be my second guess.

agreed @madworld that was a good point, but then again when Bailey was chief resident she balanced the paperwork, and surgery...I think i'm standing firm in my choice of Alex...but knowing Grey's they will definitely throw us a curve ball, I'm sure we'll be guessing all season...lol

Going by past event I don't think Cristina would be a good Chief Resident and even she does become one she would lose the job.

Meredith doesn't have that type of ambition I think she is looking for balance between her personal life and professional life and being Chief Resident won't let her do that. I think that is why Mer hasn't choosen a specialty.

April is useless as leader, I could totally see her asking Alex or Meredith wha to do.

Jackson I haven't seem enough of him to know anything in concrete.

Alex is the only that has the requirements to become a good Chief resident.

I see Alex or Mer being chief resident. I know there is the issue on babies with Mer and balancing personal with professional but she is a good surgeon, knows how to take charge but who knows what could happen in the episodes to come. Cristina is a big no for me becuase of her ambition for surgery and her career I just don't see it being her

LOL I thought the same thing about the guy looking like the dude from LOST thats kind of funny....I keep changing my mind on the chief resident business, and I speculate that I will keep changing my mind considering it won't be happening for a while....we shall see!

For me, the choices are Alex, Cristina, and Meredith because they have been there from the very beginning. They are the ones I think Richard is seriously conserding for Chief Resident.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

There's a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasn't 'cause I thought I'd be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone, because what if you learn that you need love and you don't have it? What if you like it and lean on it? What if you shape your life around it and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? It could go on forever.
