Boogeyman

Just saw on Leno Greg Grunberg showed a clip of this Monday's epi, and it seems his father doesn't know anything about Molly when Matt confronted him.  Or maybe he's just playing innocent.  Can't wait 'till Monday.

His power is kinda like Candice/Michelle a bit in that it creates illusion.  However, I think it concentrates more on having your worst nightmare come alive.  And Matt will be able to do this too once his ability developed further if we are to believe his father in saying they have the same power which both started with just mind reading.

He's able to go beyond reading minds to altering minds.  The Nightmare power may not actually be the extent of what he can do, just the thing that he's most notorious for.

Speculate, I don't believe he can alter minds.  What Matt and Nathan experienced is already in their subconcious and not placed by Parkman Sr.  What he did is locked into all their anxieties, fears and doubts and made it appear that they are living them.

Reflecting someone's fears and worst nightmares back on them by a cereberal attack  is 'altering someones mind' .....it's really all semantics, but I think speculate is onto something...

Can people stop calling him the Boogeyman, he's never been reffered to in the show as that.  Molly calls Sylar the Boogeyman.  She clearly calls Mr Parkman 'The Nightmare Man'

I'm pretty convinced that Sylars father has some kind of connection to the original dirty dozen (older generation) or the company in general. Case in point - Papa Suresh came to see him (Gabriel Grey was on the list) so that implies that there had been some kind of previous surveillance on Mr. Sylar....possiby thru family (his Dad may have been in 'the photo') or the company just keeping tabs on him because of his family ties. Whichever it was, I highly doubt that Chandra just 'happend upon' some anomoly within Gabriels DNA out of the millions of people that have their DNA on record.

That's a good point Anu Naki... His father might not even be in the original 12 (aka dirty dozen) . His father could have been a decendent of Kensei or something...

I would like to see an episode that shows Gabriel's father. Watch, it turns out that Sylar and Peter are half brothers...
